I didn't see that but at least that shows they care if they are arguing.

Exactly, you don't need to attend games to point that out.

We created the better chances, hit the bar twice and had a shot cleared off the line. How did a poor Newport side that created very little score twice? The same could be said of Mansfield on Tuesday as well. Beeley doesn't look sharp, has he put on weight? Parrish and Dugdale are slow to react to danger, don't close down and lack an understanding of each others games. The pair of them failed to pick up the one Newport player in our area for their second then pointed the finger at Goodall. There must be a reason that we aren't aware of as to why Doyle hasn't been given a chance. I can't imagine the 'I'd rather lose and be entertained' brigade can be too happy with their afternoons entertainment. I can't see this being particularly popular with the masses but it's time to go back to basics. Revert back to a back 5 which worked on Tuesday. It might reduce the 'entertainment' but we can't keep conceding twice and expecting to get something out of the game. On a positive note Conlan looked assured and put some tackles in. The sooner McGowan gets fit to replace Beeley the better.

Well it proves if it stated on the Halifax Forum that our club tried to sign him. That is not coming from me but the Halifax forum before he signed for Newport. However that will be on the long list with other failings Jim's done at the moment from a few on here.

If Doyle does not get a chance on Tuesday then I am giving up all hope for this Club.

How many times are we going to sit here moaning about our shit defence? We have absolutely nothing to lose, he can't be any worse. Play him and let him develop.

Goodness knows what's happened to Beeley of late.

MOTM on countless times last season, Player of the Year.

Gone to pot of late.

If they weren't arguing among themselves, it could suggest they'd given up?

Does not mean they are not in the know, does it. Like some fans who know behind the scenes at our club. However RedRedwine I will just agree with you because you think you know better than anybody on here when it comes to fans view points. ;)

I have never made such claims. I do however generally tend to try and dig out something up a bit more credible than the murmurings of an unofficial fans forum to back my opinions up.... That includes my viewpoint of games, which are generally based on what I've seen in the flesh... Obvious many of our fans don't have that luxury and chose to comment on games 'how they see it' in some other way.

Whether it is unofficial or not it is still a forum where the truth could come out. You or I don't know who is linked with the club and goes on the shaymen forum, which is linked with the official site. I am not writing a journal for the academic papers! I am just stating my opinions and what other people are saying like many on here.

Jims tactics in the first 45 confirmed that he believes in the long punt out of defence making no allowance for the weather. Today despite a strong wind blowing in their faces the team still insisted in airborne punts up field only for the ball to stop short and not reach its intended player. Jim had the chance to change this tactic when one of their players went down enabling our lads to take a drink break. Instead of issuing some instructions he stayed glued to his seat, saying absolutely sod all.

As if that wasn't bad enough yet again our midfield found itself out fought in the engine room, loosing out on far too many tackles and as per almost every game this season unable to compete in winning at head tennis!

Unless we get some height in midfield we'll continue to struggle season after season.

And as for the defence....we've tried a number of differing central combinations and still the same old problems exists. For Gods sake Jim, wake up and give Doyle a chance. He can't be any worse than the present 'perm 2 from 3' routine,..,However the one good bit of encouragement came in the display of Wilson's replacement Conlin who looked calm and assured and was able to pick out a pass to his intended man...,quite an achievement coming from the left back position of late.

Newport played the conditions well in both halves and for me we learned naff all from The Daggers game of how to play both with and against the wind.

Just hope that Tuesday will be different and would just be like us to put in a decent performance against one of the promotion contenders.
