He ain't going to get sacked because we cannot afford to. However if the players have lost the will to play for him, then things will have to change. We are talking about the man who captained our team & lifted the trophy at Wembley but it is a results focused business and he may have to go if results carry on as they are.

We need new owners more than a new manager who can finance decent signings instead of having to rely on rehabilitating cast-offs.

Yes, out of ideas and no more excuses. Plenty of people who could do a better job out there. Jims Legend status was well earned but it shouldn't keep him in a job he is under performing in.

Who ever would have thought Kevin Nolan would manage Leyton Orient, Sherringham Stevenage or hasselbank burton. Shows you there are people willing to take on these jobs maybe we would have to gamble though on an inexperienced person.

There are only 72 league club management jobs so I reckon we would attract plenty of applicants. Nolan is one, Appleton dropped down to this level and Paul Ince started at Macc. We shouldn't keep someone in a job just because we think there is nobody better without at least giving someone a chance.

Having said that I am a "No" at this stage, but there are clearly issues in that I don't think the team wanted it as much as Newport today and that comes down to attitude and motivation which has been severely lacking.

You mean somebody like Matthew Le Tisser who played at premier league level and could offer experience to lower league football? Could not see that happening anyway with him earning a nice earner at Sky.

with some Managers its not just about the money they get, some just see going into Management as a bonus or hobie

some good managers out of work, one I like and spoke to him at the Globe, ex Newcastle United player Lee Clark(and not MPH) been out of work since falling out with the Oystons at Blackpool, or Gary Bowyer former Blackburn Manager and a Manchester Lad already based in the N/W

Its a bit harsh saying Ronnie Moran is out of work when he is 81! Lots of good managers on there and I am sure they would be applying if this job became available. Hopefully this will put an end to the "who could do a better job" statement.

I feel really torn. I appreciate how much Jimbo loves the club and his commitment is total. However, I appreciate sentiment plays no part in football and the present run of form has to be halted. We are in serious trouble. On balance, bearing in mind the cost of removing the manager I would say stick with him until the end of the season and then review the position

I agree with you, however if the players are not interested and we continue to go on a losing streak then so be it for the future of the club. Hopefully results will pick up soon and all this talk will be forgotten.

There is obviously problems in the dressing room but I would like Jim to sort them.(so Jim to stay) As said above Newport looked like they wanted it more, apart from Devs who I thought played well again, and looks a class above some of the others. I hope we can keep him.

Question yes or no: were you at the game today? Because if you were you would've noted a much improved performance, one that on the balance of play didn't match the result. We were terrible on Tuesday, and despite Jimbo getting the first half tactics completely wrong IMO in that game, should still have won. IF we'd have won today and last Tuesday, we'd be a point outside the playoffs. With this in mind I think a few people really need to evaluate what they're saying... Because quite frankly what I've read on this thread is complete bollocks. If we were hovering above the drop zone I'd understand.
