Beeley

Absolute dogshit.
How is this apology for a footballer on the pitch, never mind captain?
Couldn't mark a piece of paper with a crayon, never mind another footballer.Gets the ball and rather than pass it quickly to an ATTACKER in front of him, he does the "run for glory" up the pitch, gets put under pressure then attempts a "pass" in the general direction of somebody. A clear hand their goals AGAIN by not doing his job.
He clearly thinks he is FAR better than he actually is, and, by making him captain Jim is reinforcing that belief. If he is the best option we have then a relegation fight is looming.
Nice to see Ken H also doesn't rate Beeley so I'm not alone.

after a bright start to a Morecambe a career, and proven in L2, do you not think he's having a bad spell a temporary dip in form?

No.
He is past it.Goes charging up the pitch cos he thinks he's Roberto Carlos then can't get back. How many times today did he go 60/70 yards up the pitch to take throw ins, then throw them short? Given away more goals this season by standing 20 yards off his man than I can care to remember, just like today.

Past it? He's 27 . Looks like he had too many mince pies over Christmas. I'm sure he will turn it around but if McGowan was fit I would drop Beeley.

Agree entirely re dropping him; Beeley needs a kick up the 'arris and about two stones off his weight.
(For the record I thought he was shit before Christmas, so it isn't mince pies).

Depends on how long you mean by "temporary"? How many times he he won MOTM this season compared with this time last year? Last season he was on fire and was winning MOTM nearly every other match. This season he's been consistently crap right from the start.

Described on the Cods forum after the JPT game, "Beeley, proper chunky kit kat with the turning circle of a lorry nowadays "

I think Beeley has lost some pace and is perhaps playing through injuries having not really been able to shake off a couple if knocks he's picked up this season. This is the problem with having a limited squad both in terms of capability and size; with McGowan out who else can we play out there? Parrish? God no!

Beeleys lack of marking for their winner was criminal today, his opponent drifted in off him for a free shot in goal fully six yards out. Schoolboy.

Was this also not the reason why Mansfield scored on tuesday.

Poor defending in general for Mansfield on Tuesday.

Weak clearances from Wilson in the buildup for both, but Parrish loses a 1v1 header for the first which Roche doesn't get enough on and the second is Dugdale getting beaten for pace (he has none) with Both Parrish and Riche failing to recover.

How Parrish got man if the match from the sponsors on Tuesday was utterly baffling.
