Portsmouth

I believe that we have sold out the away allocation and that 800 will travel to Morecambe tomorrow for the game.
After remembering the first game at fratton which you led 0-3, hit the bar and one drifting just wide from 5 attacks, I am flabbergasted that you have lost so many at home?
Pompey struggle at home because of 'parking the bus' mentality that some teams come down with and the fact we play 4-2-3-1 which at home just doesn't produce the actual goal threat needed.
I bet you play the same?
Away it's brilliant and we often have in excess of 70% possession.
Still, I thought your first 45mins at fratton hasn't been bettered since we were in the prem league. It was that ruthless. Panicky at the back but brilliant going forward. We had our moments too but from min 42 onwards, you simply lost your heads and nerve. The 2nd goal was a good goal from our perspective and nailed you to a rack even if we had a player sent off. The equiliser was more than deserved but it was a great game for us both.
Tomorrow we will no doubt be playing the same system but if we need to change system, we can now do it and project more threat.
Even though we have lost a couple of games recently we are still pressing high and dominating games.
A 48 pass goal vs Bournemouth the most recent.
We have games in hand and have to play 3 of the top 4 at home, having beaten them all away!
We have to make those games count and the first is you at the Globe.
We simply must win to keep the automatic dream alive. No ifs or buts. Cook has said so and we as fans believe this side are just getting better and better. Formed in the summer, we are now at the point of really making the settled side of things work for us.
I'm hoping ft or a convincing win but would take s flukey 1-0 win if it were offered now!
I hope you continue to prosper properly at home, which to be fair is your Achilles heel at the mo but only after we have left.
My prediction is 1-3 Pompey.
Have a poor night but great rest of season.
Play up Pompey

Fair play if you have 800, you will probably double the real crowd and certainly sound louder. Are you all in seats, maybe with that number the terrace should really be opened then at least we can have some atmosphere behind the goal.
The game at your place was brilliant, 1st half for us and 2nd for you... don't think you will see anything like that from us tomorrow as we are a fairweather side and it will be blowing a gale up here in the mud.

Safe trip, oh and tell John our drum is banned at night so he can leave his bell at home

800

Think people are getting confused with nearly selling out the away seats of 300...

There's always something interesting when we meet! That felt like a win for us, so must feel like a defeat for you on the long trip home. Especially if you had 5 Live on the radio?

Good luck for the rest of the season.

So how did that work out then?

Respect for the Pompey fans who travelled all that way for a mid week game. Other than for a few foul mouthed 'schoolboys' on their way to their coaches post match, they seemed to take the draw in fairly good spirits no doubt recalling their late late equaliser at their place.
