O/T Transforming fans in to customers

A horrible and worrying choice of phrase by the American owners of Liverpool FC today. This is days after they have announced seats in the new centenary stand will be priced at a whopping £77 and season tickets at over £1000. How are the locals going to be able to afford that? How can a mid table PL club justify those sort of prices?. I feel a bit better about paying £16 and not having a roof now!

Would love it if the fans walked out as it would be a massive statement...or they could wear yellow and gold scarfs

I think the American owners are trying to cash in on the large Scandinavian fanbase at Anfield. Worrying times for the fallen giant.

Most of the fans leave at that time to avoid the traffic anyway!

Until there's a walk out/boycott across every club in the top flight for a prolonged period of time the owners will charge their 'customers' what they want.

Absolutely, and not just top flight. Owners will naturally charge as much as they think they can get. It's business. The only way to stop it is to protest by not going ....walk outs prove nothing apart from the fact that the fans aren't happy. Owners don't mind the fans being unhappy so long as they still keep coming and paying.

For premium tickets in the Premier League this is a price that reflects the rest of the division, again, finding reason to be offended by everything. There are plenty of alternatives with much lower ticket prices should they so wish.
