The three CB Jim has used this season all have different attributes and faults, hence why they're at league two level.
Dugdale isn't the quickest and is not very good on the ball; but he's the best of the three in the air and gets the nod for me of the three options because we need to improve dramatically defending set pieces.
Parrish never get dug out on here, I suspect due to long service and because he claps the fans, but he has had a terrible season. I like his determination, positioning and last ditch tackling, but he gets beaten in the air too often (he doesn't jump) and looks a bit robotic on the ball.
Edwards has probably been the most disappointing player of all three. We are told he is a class defender and has the CV to back it up (Bkackburn Rovers reserves captain), but he's done nowhere near enough to warrant any praise or suggestion that he can play at a higher level. He's good on the ball and has enough pace, but gets pulled out of position and is a bit if a headless chicken at times. He's also not great in the air.
I'd like to see Doyle given a chance. He's done well out on loan at Chorley, admittedly at a lower level but deserves an opportunity so we can see what he can do. He will make mistakes, but the other three have been doing that all season long anyway so I don't see what Jim has to lose. He also scored a few goals whilst on loan, something only Barry Roche has managed this season from our entire defensive unit.
Whatever Jim decides he needs to stick with. Constantly changing the CB isn't doing anybody any favours.
