As for the 'did you report it?' argument, sorry Keith, but you'd quite clearly seen BS use it, and reposted it in a quote, knowing it was unacceptable. If a mod sees language like that, surely they don't need to wait for someone else to report it, they can deal with it themselves, or is that against the rules?

I was refering to the original comment that caused offence (apparently) but not enough offence to report it? The odd swear word slips through, so it isn't unique.

Nevertheless Keith, you did quote the 'f' word by quoting BS, but didn't censor either his post or the quote in your own. I appreciate the situation with Posh's original quote that it may not have been noticed by mods or reported by anyone else, but in the second situation are you not a least a little bit culpable?

That's your opinion...

...and you are entitled to express it! ;)

In actual fact, there are 13 instances of 'that word' (including an ...king version) that have slipped through (and I can't be bothered going and editing out now).

SupermarketShrimp, Shrimperteer & slackAlice2 managed one each with Christies Child managing one via a quote.

Kendalshrimp pops up with two.

Bill Ding also managed two, although one of those is a quote.
One of the quotes, ironically calling someone else out for using the word!

But our clear winner, well out in from is... mrpotatohead!!! Quite clearly part of the clique then Lee?

I''m glad Keith's posted this and also made reference to my comment to John. If someone had complained I'd have had no complaints about it being changed to f***.

I've looked back in the cold light of day and without the euphoria of the post Barry Roche goal and still don't regret what I posted.

My comment was well intentioned. I've know John for probably 20 years or more. He has recently been overly negative in my view and he's entirely entitled to that opinion. However on that particular day he went way too far on social media and on here in my view to revel in predicting a defeat and bemoaning the reasons before the game had even started or ended. A number of well intentioned people tried to debate that this was undermining the club he supports but he wouldn't have it.

In the end I just wanted to get across to John just how really annoyed I was. The 'joy' of words like f*** and s*** is that they can be used in many ways to infer surprise, anger and more. In this context it was like listening to a friend whining on and on in the pub about something really dull, everyone constantly politely changing the subject and them constantly dragging it back to their topic. Finally someone is going to say, 'will you just shut the f*** up about the bloody Flying Scotsman' . It's that or have to listen to another hour about the route it will take to wherever and the exact colour of green it will be painted.

I don't dislike John, far from it. I just wanted to make him realise that his constant pronouncements on His expectation that we would fail had actually ended in one of the most glorious moments in our football history. So at that point, f*** off John seemed to be well merited.

For those who may not realise, that's Posh's typically verbose way of saying 'sorry, no offence intended'

It's okay, you can still say "crap". In fact, when referring to our defence, it's obligatory!
