So, using our crystal ball.....

Who will be our last opponents at the Pie, and who will be the first at the new place?
I'd like;
Lancaster to be last.
Wigan to be the first, followed by Man yoo, just as it was at Wigan!

Sod's law, our last game next season (assuming we don't get into the playoffs) will be away. How anti-climactic.

I'd have thought the first pre-season game would be Lancaster, Barrow, Southport or someone.

with Sammy's connection it would not surprise me if the big stadium opening game was against a Manure select x1.

As for last game they will probably have Charrrrrety games so how about the Shrimpsvoices allstars v the fat knackers club? :lol: :lol: :lol:

I think it'd be good for the area if it was Lancaster, lots of publicity a huge crowd and a mass pitch invasion where we all take some turf home in our pockets :lol:
Get over it ;)

No matter who the opponents, the last game at Christie Park should bring a huge crowd anyway.

I do think it would be a good idea to have some sort of friendly as the last game. I'd go for Southport (although not if we end up being in the same league :lol:)

End with a 'Gary Dulligan memorial charity match'. Morecambe oldies v Liverpool oldies (Gary being a Liverpool fan).

Start with Morecambe v Lancaster, keep it local... (although if I was a Lancaster City board member, I'm not sure I'd agree to it, for exactly that reason!) then a 'big club', preferably Man Utd or if we did end with my suggested game, Morecambe v Liverpool would be a great way to end by looking back and start with the same clubs looking forward.

So how did that work out then?

They'd be able to specify our last game to be played at home, if they wanted it that way Harry.
A bit like the games at Christmas being home and away to local teams, when requested.

I wouldn't be surprised if our opening game in the football league was requested either.
