For the Board: Are there any plans to promote season tickets by a reduction in prices say 10% to make them more of an attractive proposition? ALSO are the Board prepared to operate a Buy Now Pay Later scheme where by fans can pay for season tickets by Post Dated cheques of 2 payments?

Neil, I might be wrong, but I seem to recall from some considerable time ago that this is technically illegal, albeit widely practiced. In the modern day, how many people still use cheques anyway? I think I only write them for the coalman (NOT the Coleman though ;) ).

A post dated cheque isn't worth the piece of paper, although trusted business partners do use it to show intent

Some good questions on here. I will be going to the meeting and can collate/merge questions into an agenda if required and present these at the fans forum if people wish - But if you want the answers, you'll have to attend the forum. I can't stress enough how important it is to get a good crowd of us down on the night because these events are usually very poorly attended hence why they do not occur as often as they should do. If you can be bothered to spend hours reading and posting crap on here, assuming you live locally then surely it can't be that difficult to organise two hours out of a day with advance warning for you to attend the forum.

I'll post a similar thread on the Morecambe FC facebook page, and also see if we can get Ian Lyon to email all FCoM members. If you want your questions to be asked, please PM your question directly to me and state if you wish for your question to be asked anonymously.

I will post a full list of questions on here prior to the meeting, probably on Wednesday afternoon.

If there's anyway I can be there I will be there. However, as a single parent, time with my daughter > a big row 60 miles away. I'd love to engage in constructive discussion about all the posts and how as a collective we can assist the club rather than the ever widening us and them scenario that's being built up between us.

I think we can discount this one.

The takings from one very poorly attended match would not have been the difference between going into admin or not.
If PMG is serious about wanting to sell the club it would have more value as a member of the 92 than cast out into the Vanarama league or whatever its called so I doubt he would allow that to happen via the 10 point deduction.

Even if it was true they wouldn't comment on it just like they didn't when there was a similar rumour in the Summer of 2013.

Like some others I will not be able to attend the Fans Forum but a question I would have liked to ask would be this to the Board of Directors.

Why do you think attendances are falling and what if anything can you do to get the fans back?

Cheers if someone can do this for me.

Hodgy - get a list lined up you want them to answer and present it before the forum. Give them a chance to get an answer.

If we ask a long list of really awkward questions, all we will get is a "we will look into this" and other such stalling techniques.

Me and Lloydie said the same thing today about "we will look into it".

Maybe people don't go anymore because they are fed up of the same old answers.

How many times do they also announce new exciting plans but they never materialise.

Where has this rumour about Peter wanting to get rid come from?

Everything has its price (including Man Utd etc) but I doubt that he's definately put it on the market and unless someone made him an offer as opposed to a bid I think that this is pure speculation. Certainly in our recent conversation he was adamant that the club was NOT for sale...but as I say everything has its price.

Be funny if somebody dressed as a sheik for the meeting with shades on, and then, when CC or somebody asked pmg ''Is the club for sale'', see what he said

Question for the board
For what ever reason, a them and us factor has developed at the club.
What can we do to improve the relationship between the board and fans because when everyone pulls together you become a hard team to beat?

Question for Jim

Adam Lord has tweeted that Morecambe only have 6 players contracted for next season.

Does this indicate that a number of players are likely to be moving on and what is the position on the renewal of contracts for key players such as Devitt , Miller and Roche.

I would ask we have lost 1000 fans(and counting), since we moved to the new ground, and why could that be and what are you going to do about it?

If it's not for sale, then perhaps it should be.

It's losing half a million a year and obviously PMG isn't willing to put anything more in (other than helping to cover it's losses), so the club has no future unless someone else comes in who will bankroll it to safeguard it's position and move it forward. We're basically stagnating, selling off assets, and getting into more debt - and yet PMG and the board don't seem to be able or willing to do anything about it.

When you're losing half a million a year, another few hundred people on the gates is a drop in the ocean and will be used to cover current wages and overheads rather than any improvements on or off the pitch (just like Redshaws transfer fee).

500000 is roughly 1000 fans paying 20 quid a game profit when they are at the club.

2000 average is not an unrealistic figure to hit TBH, and if the club and fans groups have a proper marketing strategy for the club then there's every chance it can be hit week in week out.

As has been bemoaned, the club needs to make the match day experience a better one, rather than a laborious chore, which is currently is.

Winning football helps but that would only mask the main problem is that all the fans are miserable and all there is to do is get wet and miserable. At least at Christie park you'd hit jbs for a game of pool and a go on the fruity.

A pivotal summer for the club - there have been rumblings of discontent before, but never sustained by so many for so long.

If the club do not at the very least freeze season ticket and matchday prices they could see attendances dwindle even further. If they are raised, well then heaven help us.

The price isn't the issue, they could make it free again like the Dagenham game, but such is the cloud over the place that people would still say its overpriced.

Everyone needs to sit down and sort it out.

Indeed, but those extra 1000 fans per home game will just make the club break even rather than lose money. So there'd still be no new money for improving the ground or to bring in more/better players. All it would mean is that the directors wouldn't have to step in to keep it afloat. Whether they'd put money in to bring in new players or improve the ground is another question - probably not. In the last few years, the losses have been covered by selling land. I think it's all been sold now, so that's why there's a cash crisis and Jim's budget is cut to the bone. 1000 new fans will be just like the Redshaw money - it will cover the shortfall we already have rather than provide any new money for improvement.
