Burton Albion o/t

Gone 7 points clear tonight at the top of league one. Just goes to show that even with a low budget and swapping and changing managers, if you have the right man in charge then it's not impossible to get to were they are. Maybe we'll have someone who can guide us into that division one day

We have someone who can guide us there in charge now.

Just need some financial boost to help the cause.

No we don't. Burton didn't have a much bigger budget than us when they was in this division and cruised to the title. Jim is clueless

My word. I can't understand why people can't accept that Jim could and perhaps should be doing a better job.

that's no excuse, ours are good enough, if turners field is waterlogged we've got all weather pitches at the ground.

or go on the beach like Aberdeen did under Alex Ferguson, when they briefly broke up the money bags dominant Celtic Rangers monopoly.

That's no excuse, the facilities there will be miles better to train on in wet /dry conditions and indoor also i expect they get more up to date information/techniques quicker.Burton were struggling financially at that time and were lucky in that they were drawn in the cup against big clubs at the right time.Reckon fergy with his( oil rich club) would have found it difficult to train a team on morecambe beach in the last 3 months.Yes i agree that Jim needs to address problems a bit quicker than he does, but i don't see who could do a better job with a limited budget. How many managers have Barnet had in last 6years 13. Stevenage 6. York 8. Daggers 4. Hartlepool 11. Yeovil 5. Newport 9.all run on a shoestring and below us.

Absolutely right. We can all name SOME clubs with low finances like ours that go on to greater things but the fact is that most poor clubs just hang on hoping that they are going to strike lucky and get some good cup draws with TV money as well. Oh! and we can forget the chance that someone with bags of money is going to buy morecambe. There's no chance of making a profit out of it so unless there is a local supporter of the club who wants to do it for love.....!!!!!

And their budget was and still is far bigger than ours, no matter what Kendalshrmp implies.
We played them last season and talking to their coaches, they had a squad of 24 and just about every one was on a decent contract. A lot were unhappy at not getting a game but happy to sit there and take he money.
How many do we have like that?
None!!

We should stop making excuses all the time. Burton came up through the leagues like us. We have what we have now and need to make good use of the facilities we currently have, instead of the same old little Morecambe negativity. If you have the right attitude anything is possible, no matter what financial situation your in.

Burton used to aspire to be Morecambe... Nigel. Clough once described us as a model club. How times have changed.
Hello! Hello! We are the Morecambe boys!
