I regret Blackpool Shrimp's decision not to post anymore. I firmly believe whether we like it or not he is entitled to his opinion and SV is stronger for the variety of opinions expressed. Football is a very subjective game which we all see differently and we should accept that and exchange opinions daft or sensible freely. I hope Blackpool Shrimp can reconsider and continue to post his sometimes controversial views on SV.

Nail and head. People (including myself) have had a dig at BS from time to time because he does not attend games (nothing about spending money at the club, couldn't give a hoot who buys player which seems to be the media tarts issue ;) ) but criticises performances whilst the game is going on based on BBC Stats and his skewed interpretation of a radio summariser to suit his opinion. Never doubted his enthusiasm for the club.

I see no reason why BS shouldn't continue to post, but note this isn't the first time he has announced SV retirement. I think a few people need to lighten up, Barry probably does have a sore back because of how shit our defence is!

But why the need to tell everyone. If you decide to stop posting fine just stop. If you decide you want to start posting again fine start posting again. But please less of the histrionics.

Sounds serious though when you are putting in calls to SV Supremo, Christies Child!

Exactly. The guy is clearly so full of self-importance to feel the need to inform us rather than just getting on with his life and leaving us to get on with ours...

John Taylor has never had to justify his support, I have stood alongside John on the terraces for years, and even then we didn't always agree, but I know he cares.
He HAS had to justify his extremely negative comments based on stats and snippets of radio, which sometimes he would choose to "interpret" in his own unique way.
If by voicing and pointing out the folly of this persistently is poor behaviour, then the so called free speech on here does not actually exist to all!!
And to my mind, it's completely irrelevant if I'm a volunteer on match days or not, either way my comments are as valid, just as Johns are. They are a viewpoint, one mans lie Is another's truth.
We all protect his right to say what he thinks on here, alongside the right to disagree with it.

I posted a tongue in cheek comment during Saturday's game which in hindsight he did take seriously, my bad and obviously it was removed.
If I'd have seen him face to face I'd have said the same to him but he could then see that I wasn't serious, and he is unfortunately not able to attend to do so.
Frisnit Frisnit!!
