The Crawley game tomorrow is a huge game in our season. A victory would boost the team and give momentum for the remainder of the season. A defeat would confirm that we are in a life or death struggle to survive in the league. A key feature is what line up and tactics the manager employs. Setting up not to lose has failed us. As has been said elsewhere, the manager needs to pick an attacking team that will go at Crawley and continue attacking throughout the match. One nil leads have caused us to sit back and invite the opposition on to us. If we should take a lead we have to keep on aggressively and not sit back. Our wretched form has not just been down to bad luck its been down to tactics. We must get it right tomorrow.

We are what we are. Fine dividing lines.

Does anyone know the Latin for "Never too high , never too low" ?

It could be incorporated onto our club badge and look pretty impressive :o :o

Dagenham play York tomorrow too.

A draw there would be the ideal result.

Somehow I can't see the management changing their approach to games. It just isn't in either of their make up to be attack minded. So it'll be the same old story that has got us where we are. Grab a 1-0 lead and then play defensively to hold out.....but that has resulted in panic stations at the back with little thought into going for the killer 2nd or even 3rd goal.

Let's hope that I'm wrong but I just can't see a dramatic change in our game plan......

Anything but a York win.

I dread us going to Dagenham on Easter Monday with them still on no home wins for the season. You know what would happen

I would say Dagenhams first home win would be more beneficial. .. York have a chance of staying up, but if Dagenham do, then we really are in bother

If we had beaten York when everyone else was and beaten Mansfield when we were 1 up with 4 minutes to go we would be 19 points clear of York and 22 clear of Dagenham and mid-table 8-)

not really thought about relegation this season, just been glancing at the league table, but looking at that link and other teams and the game left we've to play, i am now concerned.

we were the top scorers in the FL, this should not be happening.

We are quite high up on the scorers chart, but only York, Colchester and Charlton have conceded more.

1.8 goals per game says the stat, so this will be why we are aiming at clean sheets imo

I don't want to go over old ground but I agree that we need to adopt a different approach against Crawley and go all out attack. If we go one up then carry on attacking and not take our foot off the gas. I'd attack hard from minute 1 as our usual play it safe approach has yielded virtually zero points in the last 10 games.

Unfortunately, the article has left me feeling more gloomy and less than optimistic. Jim is basically saying it is all down to bad luck and 'fine lines'. I don't see any change in tactics if he thinks it is all okay, just unlucky.

When we were winning with attacking flair, but conceding goals, Jim changes tactics.
When we are losing with a defensive, stifled, boring approach, Jim keeps the tactics.

Come on Jim, we're better than this

Spot on Keith. It's as if Jim actually believes that his tactics are correct and are not a contributing factor in the drop in attendances when the majority know that it is...

My favorite bit is where he say's the players are in good spirits, and don't need lifting, some would read this and think, ''maybe its because they are not arsed''.

I did say 'more like'. Needs to be 'nunquam "x", nunquam " y". Perhaps needs to relate to minime (low). 'Nunquam nimis, nunquam minimis'? Where are the lawyers and doctors when we need them?

I've not read the article yet, but if what you're quoting is right, and I don't for one moment question your honesty, then maybe it is time to question Jim's continued credibility as manager. He needs shaking if he really thinks it's all bad luck and fine lines. Someone shake him, now!
