Highly unlikely I know but possible!!!
Whilst there is a lot talk relegation wise I am not yet concerned.Yes we have been unlucky with some decisions and some injuries but the teams below us aren't all exactly flying.
Hartlepool, tipped on here as promotion candidates are also in freefall and today go to Barnet who have the second best home record in the division; York and Daggers are scrapping it out, Yeovil go to Mansfield, Stevenage host Portsmouth and Newport play Wycombe.
No easy points anywhere for the teams below us and I would take a point at Crawley which I suspect will be a better return today, or at least as good as most below us.
Sorry to be positive but we're not doomed yet, and maybe, just maybe, we will get a dodgy late pen and a result.
I agree with what has been said elsewhere about tactics though, we don't seem to know what to do when we do get or noses in front, and also team formation. Lets play attackers as attackers and defenders as defenders (unless its a last minute corner when Bazza must go up!!!) and DON'T PANIC.
It's not over yet and I would rather be where we are than York, Daggers, Yeovil and Hartlepool.

Its my contention that if we had played an all out attacking game in the last 8 games we would have won at least 3 of them.

OK we might have taken some tonkings from a couple of the better teams but the likes of Newport and Mansfield surely should have been beaten bearing in mind leads we held , missed penalties etc.

Jim , its not fine lines , or we are what we are. Look at Accrington with a similar , probably smaller budget. Coleman said on Radio Lancs that he expects Accrington to win every match they play even though he knows that's impossible. Come on Jim , no more "Little Morecambe" , wet training pitches etc etc. Send them out to dominate the opposition.

With Miller back and McGowan and Conlan available we should be able to revert to our "usual" front 4 of Kev/Dev/Barky & Miller who won't last 90 so Mullers to step in ( or maybe start and Miller come on).
Today is winnable - lets do it, and ONE win will change things.

I agree with Jettyson that a win today would change things and give the club momentum and self belief. We need to be smart tactically and play an attacking game. Another defeat and tactical misjudgement would pile the pressure on the management and raise serious questions about the future.

A win today will transform mood and confidence. I just hope Jim sends them out to play attacking football, and doesn't try to shut up shop and defend a 1-0 lead (which never works out).

Almost totally agree. Where I disagree, is I believe Jim does send them out to win almost every game, but he sends them out to win 1-0 every match. Keep it tight, nick a goal, get ahead, keep it even tighter. But we haven't got a back four of Adams, Keown, Dixon & Winterburn! Our defence as a unit make mistakes and being League Two players, that's to be expected. Where I really worry about us, is that I believe the more we invite pressure on to us, by defending deep, the more likely we are to make errors and get punished. Pushing forwards gives the defence some relief. Yes, we'd get caught out from time to time but on balance of play, we'd be better at the back. Also, the deeper we are, the more pressure, the more likely we are to resort to hoofing it out of defence, but with no players there to hold the ball, it comes straight back and puts us under more pressure.

Send them out to dominate the opposition.

Back to agreeing! It would be more successful AND people would want to watch it again.
