It couldn't happen to us.

It was the 45th minute and with the score 0-0 we wouldn't be attacking

Accy keeper controversially sent off in last minute by Mr Kettle.

Said on Radio Lancashire that Coley was incensed.

Apparently he spent half time on the touch line "having an animated conversation with someone on the phone"

Wonder who that was??

I only have 0.3Mb download where I live so struggle with You Tube (or any other tube!). Had the ball left his boot before the whistle blew? What are the rules on this? Surely the ref can blow at any time if time is up?

Yes, it left his foot when the whistle went.

The ref can blow any time he thinks is correct, but there is no way he can be looking at his watch THAT intently to blow to the absolute second, and still be watching what is happening in the goal mouth!

Dreadful decision made so much better by Acci being on the end of it!

i really want Accy to go up!

be very interesting to see how they(like us) survive in L1, for obvious reasons.

They will do ok. Coleman seems to have a better scouting system for young scouse talent than we have.

It will be a miserable Summer if Fleetwood and Accrington are in League 1 and we are in the Vanarama

We don't want to lose northern teams from League Two! There's enough travelling as it is. Fleetwood, Blackpool & Donnie Rovers to come down. Yeovil & Daggers to be relegated.

just think what we would learn for the sake of a few hundred Accy fans coming to the Globe.

say if Accy did go up and they lost just about every game embarrassingly, then it migt help us Morecambe fans chill out, and forget about the idea of going up and going mad every season when our form goes out if the window after a good start and high expectations.

They may not lose every match. Blackpool and Fleetwood look like they might survive.

My only concern is Morecambe staying in this league. 3 wins from 11 should be enough this season.

Walsall have sacked Sean O'Driscoll today after a run of 6 games with no win. The Walsall board aren't as patient as ours :o :o

any 12 from the bottom 14 in League 1 would be an improvement on what we have had, on the whole, this season

I'm pretty sure referee George Courtney was involved in a decision like this he made in the World Cup Finals many years ago.

It was the great Clive Thomas! He blew the half time whistle as Brazil's corner was flying into the box to be headed into the net! 1982 World cup finals i think :?

Forgotten about that - it was 1978, so that's set the precedent and scuppered Accys chances of a u turn

You be the judge.....

For me the ref blows the whistle just as the Accy player is about to shoot ....

play it back with the volume up, don't look at the screen and press pause when the whistle blows. I say he had kicked the ball first, but think the Ref meant to blow before he kicked it - fine lines!

This is absolutely hilarious. If they finish either two points outside the play offs or the automatic positions then we wont here the end of this. On a serious note its a shocking piece of refereeing. I dont think there is any relevance in whether the ref blew his whistle before or after the shot was taken. It would be common sense to allow play to continue until the attack is over. Injury time is the minimum time to be added, there is no need for the half to end on the exact second like Rugby League.
