Thoughts from a neutral

Shrimps fans,

Written up some thoughts on the situation at the club ahead of your game against Wimbledon - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2016/mor ... ng-bosses/ Would be interested to get your views on Jim Bentley - wrong man or has he got his hands tied?

Cheers and good luck for the rest of the season.

A lot of Gabriel's observations are so true and it's interesting to read how an oppositions fan views our style of play. Something that many of us have written our concerns about this season.

As for the game..... well it all depends on how our management team decided to play this one. Score early and hang on OR (as most of us I imagine will want) score early and go for a second and third....

We are at home and the fans deserve an attacking performance that re-energizes us for the coming business end of the season.....we can always live in hope.... :!: :!: :!:

Was surprised that your fans reckon the team has been too defensive, given the stats you'd think it'd be the other way round. Earlier in the season you always seemed to be in a 4-2 or a 3-3.

The Eric Morecambe Trophy was a one off last season, i assume it's still the centerpiece of our trophy cabinet (if we have one now)! Hoping for a game in which we will score more than the opposition for once. It would make a nice change. But obviously the wombles are going for a play-off spot so will be fighting for the points. They will be a big physical team (though not as big as Akinfenwa) backed i imagine by a good support. I think the weather is supposed to be pretty calm, had some rain this week so pitch should be better than Crawley! :D

Didn't realize the Eric Morecambe Trophy was just last season, will edit. Will be a tough game for your lot, reckon Bentley can turn the bad form around?

Without any shadow of a doubt, yes. He can.

And, he will.

He is the only man for the job.

To say Jim is the right man is wrong because this season we've been woeful especially in defence. If it was any other club in the country he'd be out of a job by now. I think if new owners come in with abit more money than PMG then the managers position will be the first one they assess as results just aren't good enough for the squad we have ! You could say we're like Everton from the premiership. Talented squad and good going forward but the guy in charge doesn't really know how to get the best out of them as a team !

Chatting to an Everton fan yesterday and he was saying a lot of their fans are unhappy about Martinez's (pron. Mar-TEEN_eth's, if any MOTD presenters are watching) tactics, placing too much emphasis on going out to attack and not focusing enough on the defence. Oh how we wish Jim'd take some advice from Martinez over how to play!

Fitting example, isn't Bentley an Evertonian? Yeah the quality in attack seems to be there, like the look of Shaun Miller.
