Brilliant and much needed win. Great game even at 0.0.. 2.0 up cruising, they are down to 10 men, they get a goal and we are under the cosh for 10 minutes!
Super save by Baz in the dying minutes, why do we do this to ourselves ??

So at long last the loosing cycle has been broken with a creditable win. For me the difference Doyle has made to the back line is immeasurable. He was without doubt the MoM (although the sponsors gave it to Jamie) and it was significant that when he went off injured that our defence began to panic.

I just hope that his injury isn't too serious and that he's back next game. I also noticed that despite his continued poor distribution, defensively Ryan seems to have more confidence in Chris than either Paz or anybody else he's partnered with. His game also seemed to have got better than of late.

The players gave Chris a very big and much deserved vote of thanks as they came off the field.

Only down side for me was the managers post match comments on Radio Lancashire. He's got so used to having to find excuses for previous performances that even after today's win all he seemed to focus on was the reasons for our bad run rather than be enthused about today's victory.

Excellent result and a good performance to boot. Must have been the fact that the Chairman's partner was at the game...... :) :) :)

Great performance from the lads today. Really battled away when needed winning 2nd balls through out the match and even tho it was a nervy ending I think we were clear deserved winners and was unlucky not to of scored more goals.

Great to see the defence looking more solid aswell, bet there isn't many defences in the league with a younger average age at the minute (Conan 21 Doyle 21 Edwards 22). Chris Doyle was superb hope his injury isn't too serious because him and Edwards look to be forming a good partnership at the minute. 13 points clear now and probably safe so hopefully we'll see more of the team playing with freedom and get a few exciting games at the globe !

Great game today, and great atmosphere too! Every single player put in a really good shift - and were rightly rewarded for it. There looked to be a real team spirit with lots of communication and players working really well together. The crowd responded to the enthusiasm on the pitch and really lifted the globe. Onwards and upwards, more of the same please.

Thought we played well today, devitt was excellent and fully deserved MOM in my opinion(I hope he stays) after we conceded I thought we looked a bit nervous, but after our recent run that's no surprise. I spoke to a few Wimbledon fans after the game and they were gutted with there performance and couldn't understand why we hadn't won in our last ten games........

Brilliant performance. We completely dominated the second half.I posted at half time saying we weren't defending well, thankfully we didn't have much defending to do in the second half because we dominated the midfield. We came close a number of times before scoring. Great celebration with players and fans coming together, beautiful scenes. Also Devitt appeared to take a liking to the head of the bald steward! Barkhuizen did very well for the second, he needs to play through the middle more often. Again we backed off at the end but we got away with it this time, we undoubtedly deserved the victory though.

Inspirational choice of MOTM by the sponsors. Great win however it came, onwards and upwards.

From a team obviously lacking in a bit of confidence we played pretty well yesterday. When we scored the first it seemed like a huge monkey had been removed off the players backs and for 10-15 mins we were all over them. Little bit nervy when we gave away a goal but overall a well deserved win.

Thought Kev's energy was excellent for a guy of his age and definitely deserves another year's contract. All the front line contributed well IMO and we should have scored one or two more.

My first Saturday win since Pompey over 11 months ago!

Less than 1200 home fans but hopefully we will get back 300-400 for Good Friday with 600-700 from Plymouth too.

As much as Kevin is a fans favourite I wouldn't give him anything more than a contract with the understanding that he will only be used as an impact sub. This season he has begun to show his age which is perfectly understandable.

The reason why we hadn't won in our last ten games even though we had played quite well is that after taking a 1-0 lead we gave up attacking and pressurising the opposition and let them back in the game. Whereas yesterday we kept going at them until we scored again , then we sat back for a nervy last ten minutes .
I too thought Devitt was excellent and the difference between the two teams and ran his nuts off for the Full 90 Mins , so what was all the bullshit about recently after taking our most influential player off after 70 mins as he was carrying a foot injury . Anyway well done Jamie for battling through your 20 min injury problem , hope you recover enough to sign a new contract. ;)
