Has the clear out begun ?

Was told today in the hospitality lounge before the game that Parrish and Wilson won't be getting another contract when the seasons finished, really hope Jim hasn't chose to keep Dugdale over Parrish

Dugdale has an option for further year in his contract. Not sure how it works. It could be the player's decision and if he decides to stay the club have to accept it. If this is the case we are not a club who can afford to pay him off.

Thanks Andy, you have been brilliant for us over the 7? Seasons very loyal, always put 100% effort.
Defence this season has been lame, not all your fault by any means, shame you have been dumped.

Well the club can only blame themselves if thats the case with Dugdale, should never have give him a further option of another year after ring relegated twice in piss poor teams and this season he's done nothing what so ever to prove he's worthy of a new contract ! I can't see us going into next season with 3 CBs so maybe we'll see another one come in ? Be interesting to see what happens with Conlan aswell !

am not happy about this! it just shows you what as been going wrong, if Jim feels Parrish as been poor, Jim must be on Class A's

Parrish is one of the first on the team-sheets for effort alone..

It will be sad to see Parrish go if true (Ive heard the same thing today, perhaps this will change with new ownership?) BUT he has been poor this season and there is no hiding from that no matter how vigerously he claps at the fans. Beeley, Dugdale, Wilson and Edwards have also been poor. Effort and commitment is admirable, but you also need ability. At the moment Andy is being kept out of the team by a young lad learning his trade in Doyle.... and rightly so.

For the goal today Parrish loses his 1v1 in the air and the second ball drops to a Don who tucks the ball away. Moments earlier, Parrish is caught out of position and is well and truly beaten for pass which lead to a shot on goal... I think the post is still shaking. Take the emotion out of it and lets see who is available in the summer.

Agree with this RRW, the club have got to look at the bigger picture. If Edwards gets back to how he was earlier on an last seasons form he could make the club money as could Doyle with them being so young still and if the Dugdale contract option is true then I suppose jims left with no choice. Edwards and Doyle were great today and have been the last 3 games together. If that's what we're starting next season with in CB I'll be happy !

While last time I managed to catch a game (currently at Uni in Leeds, before anyone starts a war over appropriate reasons to miss games and who's the best Morecambe fan) Parrish had a belter but overall, and I realise this is an unpopular opinion on this forum, I really have never felt comfortable with him in defence, always feel like he's got a mistake in him.

Can't name anyone in our squad who doesn't make, or doesn't look like making a mistake

This is not the best news, this lad has single handed kept Morecambe fc in contention for all cup and league games and deserves to be treat better than this . Andy has been a consistant high performer for mfc and always put in 100 per cent for the team.Dugdale is not half the player Andy is.Yes Doyle is coming to the thro, but getting rid of a player of his ability is stupid.

having calmed down, thinking about it, i think Jim must be letting Parrish go in order to make room for another defender he must have lined up, looking to sort our fragile defence out.

you need 2 players in every position, especialy with center backs over a season.

1) Edwards is under contract for another season
2) Dugdale is under contract for another season
3) Doyle looks class
4) New Player Jim as lined up

All 4 of our CBs are out of contract, Edwards and Doyle are never guna leave due to their age unless someone better comes in so it was always guna be either Parrish or Dugdale moving on, if Parrish is going I hope Dugdale does aswell !

So that's possibly 5 of the squad rumoured to be going. Looks like the management are going to be busy this close season. Of course it could all change as and when the new owner(s) come on board.

For me I just hope that they see that Dugdale is a liability but if as has been suggested in a previous post then Ken Mck could have something to say about the clown as it is reported that they are close friends.

I've also heard it was Ken Mck who wanted to sign Dugdale CC. The ones I can see following Parrish an Wilson out at the minute are either one of Goodall and kenyon, I can't see him resigning both of these even tho latley they've both been good possibly Miller and devitt if they can secure moves elsewhere, other than that I don't see anyone else being released !

Miller, Devitt, Bees and possibly Baz( :() as the ones who may have already rejected contracts. As for others to be on there way then Goodall as I thought Kenyon had signed an extended contract last season until 2017. Could be wrong..... :?: :?: :?:

its been said Dugdale as an option of another year, like Fleming, and cant see other clubs in L2 coming in for Dugdale, or even Fleming for that matter.

Oops...forgot about Fleming. Another one for me who there has to be a question mark but I suspect that he'll still be with us next season.., sideways, backwards etc etc etc.

Loyalty means nothing I'm afraid. If another club had offered Parrish a whopping pay increase at the last renewal, you wouldn't have seen him for dust. Loyalty only works when all other things are roughly equal. Sad but almost certainly true, most of the players, staff and management are only at MFC because they havn't been given a much better offer elsewhere.

At the end of the day, Jim/Ken have a fixed amount to spend on wages (like most businesses) and have to manage their budget. If they believe that they can get a better squad of players (in terms of quality and numbers) then that's what they have to do rather than re-sign players who are either expensive or under-performing.

Having just watched the highlights from yesterday, the judgement that Paz lost his battle for their goal is incorrect. Paz wins the header but nobody gets hold of the second ball.

Paz is well worth another deal, it will take some top scouting to find a player as good as him. Lets hope its not another mate from Liverpool.

Personally i would give pas and kev new contracts, kev has been good in the last ten or so games and pas for me is our best defender,If some players want to leave or some get let go it's just how it is,but i don't think we have a bad team/squad and would keep it together if possible with a couple out, like most of us i thought we had a shot at the play offs the way we started but lost our way, think we have a good team spirit, you could see that when fleming scored just need to learn how to defend a lead, ie get rid of it in the box instead of standing and looking at it,don't think we can keep conlon but hope we can he's been good.
