You are wrong John.
Stats do not say it all, we were extremely unlucky to lose.

Then stick with quoting the one stat that counts then instead of all the other negative crap that you come out with ALL THE BLOODY TIME! Everyone who actually saw the game, including Radio Lancashire's commentator made it clear we were very unlucky and we deserved a point. The BBC text comments that you are fond of don't tell us anything.

Out of the six teams below us, five lost and one drew. Doesn't that stat count?

And the other stat that matters is that the 112 people who watched the game all stood and applauded the lads off the pitch.

Well, York got 27 points from 37 games, so I suppose it is entirely possible that they will get 27 points from 9 games.
Or Daggers, who got 25 points from 38 games could possibly get 24 points from 8 games.

All very possible.

Except WE WEREN'T DREADFUL TODAY. In fact, while there have been some dreadful performances, there have also been some excellent ones, where we were very unlucky.

If we can get 2 wins from 9 matches starting hopefully on Friday against the Green Army , 46 points should be safe.

With our goal difference that would mean York would need 20 points from 9 games which is very unlikely.

It has been a shocking season and nothing can hide that.

Me too mate to be honest.

BBC stats are a load of utter bollocks Lancashire Shrimp (?!!!) as we are all well aware.

Last week v Wimbledon their stats said they had had 58% possesion in the first half which (for anyone who was there) will know that was utter total bull.

From what I've heard, read about and been told, we were outstanding today at Orient and deserved a point.

I couldn't give a tupenny f*** what other teams are doing. Nor Padraig Amond.

Roll on Plymuff. I'll be there.

Let's concentrate on ourselves and the positives - look it up if anyone is unsure what it means.

Sounds as if we really were unlucky today and the lads played well. Well done lads.....most of us don't ask for more than a good effort. Luck should balance out but it doesn't seem to have done this season.

If you look at Plymouths results over the last few weeks they are nothing to be frightened of. Maybe our luck is saving itself up for next Saturday ;)

Was absolutely gutted when Roche sent off after just 12 minutes. Glad I wasn't the manager, having to choose which forward player has to be sacrificed. O'Hara was outstanding and his team mates all did well to keep us in the game. Goal was pure bad luck, no blame on Edwards (without seeing it again on telly... ;) ) and had we been more clinical when the odd chance came our way, we might've got something from the game, against a poor Orient side who are lucky to be vying for a play off position on today's evidence. On a more positive note, we received a warm welcome by staff, stewards, and fans in their excellent club house, and I hope for our sake that we will be able to pay them a visit again next season.

Seen the sending off on the tv, looked a pen but there was a defender behind Barry so was it really a red? Also the 2 goals we've conceded against the O's this season have both been deflected clearances!! They have had all the good fortune in the two fixtures! Hopefully we might get some good fortune soon
Don't worry be happy!

How things change...

Just watched an interview with Kevin Nolan on Sky showing his hat trick (and Fleetwood's Shola Ameobi's goal) in a 4-0 win over Sunderland. There was never any chance of him replicating that yesterday... "Your chicken is dead".

IMO for what its worth.

Didn't look a penalty but having seen it on TV it was. The sending off correct as well as it stopped a goal scoring chance regardless of covering players.

O'Hara was awesome as was the rest of our patched up defence.

When Jamie was taken off I groaned, as he is without doubt our most creative player.

I did however understand it as Jamie isn't the type of player to put his foot in and do the dirty stuff, like Alex and Fleming.

Orient battered us and the stats prove it ( ). BUT we did deserve a point as the team battled and defended better than a lot of games this season.

A few in the 102 Shrimps fans were not happy (some never are). They were in the minority.

As John said they were very welcoming. Fans and staff.

The supporters Club is something that we should be looking at for our "Grill". 8 real ales, Premium Larger Various rolls, crisps and nuts, All CHEAPER than the local pubs....... 4 TV's it was heaving and the tannoy inside the ground was relaid inside so the team announcement could be heard. It also had plenty of bar staff.
They also enjoyed the obligatory "Bring Me Sunshine". We were also told we would be welcome after the game, which I understand a few "Old Cockles" accepted.

Yes. When the last defender gets sent off, there is still usually the keeper to beat. Same situation, other way around. Denied a clear goal scoring opportunity, so correct decision.

I think Shrimper mentioned on a Facebook post that he was carrying a foot injury, so with hindsight I understand the decision to sacrifice him.

Just got back... done some trips and journeys but this one has to be up there with the best, even though we lost.
Great weekend , fantastic company, great game to watch with superb effort from the lads.. I feel proud.....
Leyton is sh!t, not allowed in one pub, even though bobbies said we could, then the other one must be the worst thing I have ever seen.. then when we went to the O's bar it was probably the best away experience you can ever have - bl@ddy brilliant a quid to get in, loads of friendly O's, sensible beer and packed, before and after the game.
Great effort and we'll worth standing above the team coach before it left.
Shame some missed their trains home apparently .
Reading some of the Sh!te on here I wonder what the f@ck some people want.
Happy days make the most of it..
Oh and a mention for the very fit landlady today who treated us all afternoon .. she has already sold out all her VIP seats and tables for England games in the Euros.. I would like to go back and say hello again..No doubt MFC are sold out as well.....
#Still buzzing
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

To be fair Marky there is only one poster on this thread who is being negative (as always). He wasn't at the game (as always) and I for one are no longer going to give him the satisfaction of responding to his comments. The rest of the posts were very positive on Saturdays performance. Long may it continue. :D
