Which is why I keep saying, we need the positive, realistic people to return to the forum. The negative people will continue to post, but at the moment, I think they are disproportionatly represented.

So it's going to be a forum just for positive posters and comments
That would be very exciting not

People say freedom of speech... Not on here it seems

Keith is asking for more positivity from SVs, he's made no attempt to censor you so, as has been said any number of times, speech is free on here. Say what you like, as long as you don't get into libellous/slanderous/defamatory comments. Equally, don't be surprised when people disagree with you, as they are also entitled to free speech.

People should be able to put forward a negative view without having someone jumping all over them though.

If it has some foundation to it, yes, but when it's based on no knowledge of the actual performance, and particularly where someone is being heavily critical when in fact we've performed well, then they are going to get jumped on. Most of us are at least hesitant of criticising a performance we haven't seen, but there is one particular individual who persists in posting negative comments when he doesn't know how we are performing, and in many cases we have been performing well. If it were only one or two repeatedly putting him down for the sake of it, I'd defend him, but the simple fact is that many of us have felt so annoyed by comments which are completely unrepresentative of the way the team's playing that we have felt the need to put him right. He chooses to make those comments in spite of not being at the game and not knowing the truth about the performance, and he therefore opens himself up to criticism. His suggestion of his freedom of speech being stifled is, however, complete nonsense, and that was what I was responding to.

Setting aside the fact that there's no entitlement to "freedom of speech" on a privately run internet forum, can you give us some specific examples under your current or previous guise of when you were denied "freedom of speech"?

Asking you to consider that what you are posting is not only a load of old bollocks, but detrimental to the health of the forum, is not the same as denying your right to an opinion.

Stop playing the martyr.

Typical. Completely ignore any criticism of your own actions, and try to make out people are trying to enforce positivity on here, which is anything but the point.

Are you actually trolling on here now John?

1 win and 2 draws in 12 is woeful, but if you'd have actually attended any of these games you'd have seen a side that could quite happily have taken 18 points or so, let alone 5. That's why you rightly get slammed and you pout when no one agrees.

This board in the main is pretty good most of the time. When the players need a good shoeing for not pulling their weight they get it.

He invites it on himself with the crass things he posts. I personally hate bullying, having been subjected to it on and off over the years, but in this particular case you can tell he's deliberately winding up to get a response, so he gets it.

What a great weekend, going down to the Orient expecting a good game, walking down Brisbane Road and having a laugh with the stewards, who were very good, then round the corner to the supporters bar,(they really know how to to run a bar) Morecambe commercial team take a look how thing can be run properly.Inside the ground, lovely playing surface, good stands with flats and office space fetching in some income.Once the match starts we are holding our own, then Baz gets sent off,O Hara comes on and Devitt get's the short straw. What came next was a very good defensive team performance, where we only get beat by a lucky deflection, a few minutes from the end.Enjoyed my cup of tea from the guy with the famous teapot. After the match back to the supporters bar and applaud the players on to their coach,(they looked knackered)but they got a good round of applause for there efforts from fans who watched them.By the way Gary, have you found your nuts :o

But if you re-read the thread, you'll notice that my post made absolutely no reference to BS/LS but simply that 'negative' posters need counteracting by the 'positive' ones. BS then drew the thread around to himself with his snide remark, so if there is a witch hunt, it is because he brings it upon himself.

You'll notice in BS's world, you either agree with his jaundiced view of the world, or you are trying to censor him? Sorry, but if BS posts BS, then he has to expect a response. Although perhaps it is the attention that he craves?

Really enjoyable day apart from the score line at the end. Definitely a sending off as he went round Baz and he must have caught him late. However they should have had a red card too for kicking our excellent 2nd keeper in temper after his continual excellent saves throughout the game. Shame we couldn't hang on for a draw by giving away an own goal. Thought the stewards were very friendly and made us welcome.

The lads put a good shift and gave their all, even though Lancashire/blackpool shrimp puts the team down as well as the management, when they actually played well. When they put in a shift like Sat, I'm happy to applaud them off for their efforts. Would like to see O'Hara as a permanent signing next season but all depends if Man Utd want to get rid and our new ownership.
