P'ah! That will never come close to the mythical "Why?" thread that MarkS started years ago! Shame we lost that one, it was the most surreal thread SV has ever known!

Interesting stats:

Former Shrimps thread has just over 3 times as many views, but only just over 60% of the posts. Ratios of posts:views are:

Former Shrimps thread 1:69
The Song Game 1:14

Fewer people viewed the Song Game, but those who did were 5 times more likely to participate. I must own up to being a guilty party. It remains my most active topic, with 46 posts and 3.14% of my total posts. Let's revive it this summer! ;)

People can say its only the Conference.

He was never played as a striker by Jim.

He always gave 100% when he played and I don't think many of tonight's team can say that.

hear, hear! losing Amond and Hughes have proved to be major mistakes by jim. they weren't perfect but they were grafters and have been missed.

There is a Stanley thread about Amond, acknowledging both they and Jim Bentley both played Amond out of position in L2 and that he should be playing at an higher level than the BSP.
