We are in a chess game

We are in a chess game

The club is up for sale.
We have a limited budget which unless we get new owners will imo be reduced further next season.
We have many of the squad out of contract.
We have players who ideally we would keep.
We have (probably) players on the radar we would look to sign.

As a current player are you going to sign a new deal now knowing that new owners MAY increase the budget and offer better terms? imo no.
As a potential signing - see above.
Are we likely to get a new manager under the current owners? imo no.
Will the current management team leave by choice? imo no.
As a fan are you going to renew knowing that unless we get new owners we will have a weaker squad and imo be served the same dross? Individual choice but many will not leading to lower budget/poorer players/higher chance of relegation.
The only avenue to progress is the sale of the club before the end of the season or shortly after.Only then will players and fans alike make their decisions.Without this imo we will drop out of the league.

Only problem I see there is who is going to buy a club that could still potentially drop out of the league. Might as well wait and see where we are at the end of the season , a non league club would be cheaper to buy or of no interest .

I look at it more like Candy Crush Saga.. when you are running out of lives and no gold bars to give you a boost, the blockers are in your way and the winning line is nowhere to be seen.

The board are not going to sit back and watch the club fail, its obviously their money going down the shitter if it does, I think you will see a sudden surge of activity as soon as we are mathematically safe, there was a potential buyer under our noses at yesterdays game.

We are not in a chess game, if it were one, we would only be spectators.

There s going to be some Ars nipping in the boardroom over the coming month waiting to be mathematically safe with current form.
Oh and good luck to you with your potential future purchase  , hope you have a bottomless pot of cash ;)

It's more a draughts game if you listen to the excuses! We need to get to the other side of the board and claim a new king :D

At the moment our games all seem like we are playing like someone who can only play draughts up against Bobby Fisher and the game is chess
