Brilliant 2nd half good to see Vardy score, also Ali play who came from MK Dons and Smalling who came from non league Football, cant think of anymore.

Although i like Rooney when he's not being played out of position, he will have a battle on for a start with Kane, Vardy, Welbeck all in good form.

And for some reason look befter post Lampard & Gerrard era

Only worry is our goal keeping, even Hart the number one as dodgy spells.

Yes, but a word of caution.
Expectations raised again as we beat Germany in a friendly.
At the tournament proper we don't perform. Remember 2001? 5-1 win followed by.......not much.

The germans treat friendlies for what they are, we tend to treat them as full dress rehersals for the main event, theuy would not have played like that in a tournament, and unfortunately ,niether would we.

I know its a friendly, but Germany do take all games serious, right down to grass roots. They think it creates a wining mentality. Where as we as kids at school are taught its the taking part what counts and being fair.

Just thought we showed good team spirit.

First England/International game for ages that was enjoyable and entertaining to watch.
Even at 2.0 down, when I was considering, tearing my betting slip up. Refreshing to see the younger ones doing well, without the old guard.
No doubt Rooney will be the 1st name on the team sheet. If he had scored goals like Kane and Vardy it would be different
