Well it's too bloody late now, and his routine gut churning bile belittles the massive tub thumping hero we all adored when he lifted the trophy at Wembley
I'm gutted for Jim that the end is becoming a shabby character assassination, but he can't truly expect anything else with such depressing interviews. He must shoulder ALL the blame because he is the boss. Dynamic organisations don't rely on good luck and chance, the dynamism percolates down from the top and that's all there is to it.
Blame it all on Lady Luck if you want to hide from the truth, reality is our position in the League.
Thanks for putting your heart and soul into the club, but it really is time to graciously resign at the end of the season and leave with your reputation still intact for those of us who loved your courageous never-say-die approach as the rock we built our promotion push around
You will never be forgotten

Perhaps, as is often the case, the move to management was one step too far. It was always going to be a hard task and I'm sure he's put in some really hard work but if you can't positively motivate the troops you'll never win the battle. Motivation is a huge part of management.

I agree, to move from playing straight into a manager position does look to have been a step too high.

Great guy, top player, true Morecambe legend but his current negativity in interviews must be having an effect on the team. It will certainly be putting off fans returning to the Globe. He complains of fans' deserting the club but doesn't understand his significant role in why this is happening.
Personally I don't think Jim is a bad manager, however he has been immersed in managing MFC for five years and it seems the pressure to get it right is taking its toll. With a bit of a break from the game I could see him having some success at a similar sized club to ours in the future.
Even with the uncertainty of the club being up for sale and a tight budget I think a change might be best for everyone. Perhaps Drummy should be given a go next season?

Jim has had 5 seasons and each season after the first one has felt like "Groundhog Day". A great start in August/September followed by a slump and then a partial recovery. Who will ever forget last season when we were going great guns and then went to Mansfield and defended in the hope of a 0-0 draw only to lose to a late goal.
I think it is likely that a new owner will give Jim a chance and lets hope that he realises the mistakes of the past.
