Loanees

Postby Christies Child » Thu Apr 07, 2016 10:07 am

So how did our recent loan players perform the other night... :?: :?: :?:

Having just watched the highlights on Player as part of the managers interview it looked to me as though the first half turn and shot from Stockton hit the post whilst the lad from Blackpool, Oliver made little attempt to challenge for the ball from the scorer of the deflected shot.

Hard to judge on such limited highlights but maybe further run outs between now and the end of the season will provide a further insight into if they have the right attitude and capabilities to make us a far better outfit for next season.

Things can only get better......surely.... :?: :?: :?:

Oliver - looks crap
Stockton - offers abit more than mullin I'd say, would be a decent signing
McKnight- does he even exist ?
Conlan - Okay. But need experience there. Don't think it's a good idea with a back four next season of him Doyle Edwards and McGowan as there all 22 or younger

and with his age as long as we offer a better contract than his existing one then we would receive compensation if he moves on.

From what I was told Saturday, a lot of the current squad have been offered contracts besides Wilson Parrish Dugdale but things could change if the owners do or budget gets increased except for Wilson who has been released. Only Devitt Miller and Edwards have rejected so far !

No players have rejected contracts so far. They just haven't accepted them.

They may not get better offers and so stay.

One of the positives from this season (and let's face it, there haven't been too many) has been the performances of Luke Conlon. Yes he's young but he's a quality player and may go on to play at a higher level. I'd be delighted if we signed him permanently. Is he out of contract this summer?

Yes, he's out of contract. Presuming Burnley don't offer him a new one, he'd be an excellent addition. Hope we get him.

I suggest you take a closer look at the highlights on Player. It clearly shows that it was our No29 Oliver who failed to put any kind of tackle or even effort into getting the ball as the scorer of the first goal took the opportunity to have a pop at goal. Fleming was nowhere near the ball or player.

I think it's safe to say, we won't be seeing too much more from Oliver after his performance the other night

My Blackpool mate was more than correct with his assessment of him.
