This won't be popular with some on here but I would like to see us set up defensively. I know we are shocking defensively but if we try to attack but fail to battle in midfield they will overrun us in that area and expose our defence. If we go two down inside ten minutes again it's game over. Lets get men behind the ball, make it difficult for them to break us down and stay in the game. The longer it's stays goalless the more likely they are to get frustrated and nervy. Every game is a cup final for them, they are the ones under pressure. How about:
GK O'Hara
LWB McGowan
RWB Barkhuizen
CB Parrish
CB Edwards
CB Doyle
CDM Kenyon
CM Fleming
CAM Devitt
ST Miller
ST Stockton
I have criticised Jim for playing Barkhuizen in defence in the past as we aren't getting the best out of him. However he is capable in this position and can still pose a threat going forward. If we opt to play five defenders with Conlan injured and Beeley unplayable there aren't many options. Miller struggles in games where we have little possession as he is lightweight and won't hold the ball up. Stockton appears to have the qualities that Miller lacks and this could benefit Miller. McGowan should be starting every week and Doyle certainly deserves a chance. I would still be worried by the midfield two but bodies behind the ball will make it harder for them to create chances. Regardless of the line up or formation that Jim goes with the players will need to 'run through walls' to get anything out of this game. There has been a lack of effort and commitment from a number of players in recent times which suggests Jim has lost the dressing room.

Is Beeley injured so he can't play? If not he will start (as he always does) becuse he's the captain.
He's also shit but hey................
Personally I would be happy never to see him start again. His absence is a plus imo.
It also says a lot when your top scorer in open play (not including pens) is also your first choice wingback.............which I actually agree with.Pity we can't clone Barky and play him as a defender and an attacker.
