The last thing PMG want is us starting next season off in the form were playing now. If no1 buys the club then the way we're playing now would definitely see us relegated next time round and make the club even harder to sell if we was relegated to the conference !
Surely it's in the best interest for him to do the right thing if he's guna be the owner next season and won't have 100% confidence in giving jim the budget again !

If PMG can't sell then I think whoever is managing the first team will be the least of our problems.

Why would it be ? Surely someone else experienced at this level wouldn't do any worse than Jim. If we start next season the way we're finishing this one, then we'll end up rock bottom of the league under Jim !

If there's no money for the player budget he needs, there's no money to pay off Jim and Ken. If Jim really love Morecambe and wants it to avoid relegation/bankruptcy, and he's presented with an ever smaller budget that he knows won't be enough, then he needs to do the honourable thing and fall on his sword, by resigning along with Ken. All for the good of the club.

I've been saying this for ages. I've said before that my biggest fear is of us ending up like (the old) Darlington FC.
ie, move to a new ground, fanbase dwindles rapidly, owner deserts, loses Football League status, plays in Conference, club goes bang, starts again right down the football pyramid.
I'm worried about this scenario.........
NOW.

We could do with the ownership issue resolving as soon as possible.
At the fans forum PMG said there was major interest from a potential investor and there were 2 or 3 other potential investors on the sidelines. He said there could be an announcement within weeks.
Then it was announced that he was putting the club up for sale so that the club could have a budget for the manager to work with in the Summer. Presumably this was to see if any other potential investors wanted to come in and raise the stakes. Has this move led to the other investor withdrawing his offer ?
Hopefully some positive news soon
KenH wrote:Anyone else starting to get really worried about the lack of news regarding investors or a buyer?
Back in April, PMG was expecting an announcement "within weeks" and then said he was putting it up for sale to try and get a better deal. All in the name of a budget for Jim in the Summer. Well, surely Jim needs to know his revised budget NOW, otherwise he'll be losing Miller as well as Devitt and won't have the money to bring in like-for-like replacements for those who've gone, let alone better replacements. If the deal ever happens, it may be too late and Jim's targets may have been snapped up by other clubs.
How many times have we heard PMG suggest "deals within weeks", then more recently, it's been mid-may, then end-may, now mid-june. Is anything actually happening or is it wishful thinking?
I'm starting to think that they were empty promises just to get people to renew their season tickets so the club can pay the wages/overheads over the Summer.
After all, a board member supposedly denied that the 14/15 season made a £900k loss which then turned out to be remarkably close to the truth!
I really hope I'm wrong.
