New home terrace and bar.

The only downside I could see would be for any potential playoff fixture or big cup tie like the one against Newcastle.

Would we be happy only having a home fan capacity of around 3600 and 2900 away fans in the ground?

Sorry but I don't think it would happen for a number of reasons:

We will end up with a tiny home end

Cost of converting the gym to a bar and possibly moving the wall/road at the back would cost nearly as much as a new bar at the Omega

Moving home fans will make the Globe feel even less like at home

Away fans in the town end of the ground

Potential security issues with away fans (the current layout would have been chosen for efficient management of away fans)

Views would be worse with the sun in our faces

We lose a perfectly good gym (is it used at all at the moment?)

Having a smaller building similar to the community block built at the opposite end of the North Terrace could work but I guess anything that costs will have to wait until the new owners show up with their cheque book.

Not sure about its actual size but to the right of the Omega as you look towards it from inside the ground there is some spare land that houses the pre match goals, would it be possible to have a permanent structure / portacabins that could accommodate fans with an inside area to include a basic bar and tv built on that area of land... :?: :?: :?:

Alternatively and again I don't know if there is enough space( :?: ), but wouldn't a couple or even 3 portacabins locked together make an ideal closed area for refreshments behind the Omega stand.... :?: :?: :?:

Unless we get a wealthy new owner nothing is going to happen. Assuming the new boss has some dosh it would make more sense to build a proper away stand behind the away end. Us poor buggers in the Omega can endure a few more seasons of sub human conditions

I would rather put some under cover roofing on the Berlin Wall Stand before that, for far to long since CP days we've been the forgotten one's

Numerous others do, Lincoln for example since relegation, and Bury seem to do it with the changing of the tides!

Oldham Athletic have done it this season too moving homesters from the Chaddy End into the Rochdale Road End of the ground (where we were sat when we played them in the LDV years ago).

Didn't go down too well with the Latics fans though, the Chaddy end is their natural home ;)

Switching home ends could also save stewarding costs; the number of stewards required is based on the capacity of the stand. As The Omega is not even half full we are paying people who arent really needed.

The current capacity of the bay radio stand is reduced becuase there isnt enough space behind at the back but I guess that could easily be resolved by knocking the wall down and rebuilding it.... if indeed we need additional capacity for home fans... at this point we dont.

The only problem with this new home end idea is that the terrace faces the pitch
