How would the UK be safer from terrorism if it left the European Union?

I would probably lose my job if we left the EU and I imagine a large number of us on here would also too.
For those who want to leave, what are their reasons? Is European immigration such a big problem in Morecambe?

better control with borders. hence no free movement.

So are the problems with terrorism, the people legally entering from Europe or illegally?
If legally, are you saying you'd stop people coming altogether (no tourists/businessmen/migrant workers) or would it be the same, except a bit longer at passport control?
If illegally entering, how would things change?
Terrorists like the Belgium murderers would simply come anyway.
Illegal immigrants are illegal and would remain so.

We have the Brexit campaign waiting to introduce a British bill of rights, a better alternative .

So how does anything change? The 'home grown' European terrorists will still be able to move around. The only change is that they will need to show a passport. Which they will.
yes they still will be able to move, but we will have better powers to deal with them, like when you want to travel to USA, we can implement a ESTA tourist type visa system.Keith wrote:So how does anything change? How will a British Bill of Rights be better than the European one? Which European Rights don't you agree with?

Exactly. Where were the 7/7 bombers from? Lee Rigby's murderers?
Can't help thinking that a lot of people's views on in/out EU are formed to whether they have a fear/dislike/mistrust of foreigners/those a bit different or not.
Reducing all of our human rights is hardly a positive thing either.

I am very much a remain guy, but I feel sorry for the leave campaign as it seems the odds are stacked against them. Cameron and Co using public funds to send out propaganda to people's letter boxes was shocking.
