I agree and how many players have not been arsed since he has been in charge. We carry on making the same mistakes on the pitch and never learn from them. We will never get the fans backing to come back to the Globe otherwise, the only way that will happen is a change in direction at the club.

Jamie Devitt has just spoken to the press. Told we will not be hearing from Jim Bentley today
Devitt: "It’s becoming embarrassing now. We’re letting the staff down and the fans down at the minute and it’s not good enough."

Devitt: "The gaffer must be pulling his hair out because he’s taking the stick for us and it’s not fair. We need to do something."

Whatever you think about Morecambe's recent performances today Devitt and Roche both visibly hurt by how things have gone

How JB i still in a job baffles me! Clueless, tactically inept, blames everything else for poor results. He has to go or our club is ruined. But i guess he will stay there until forced out (hopefully by new owners) if he could just say "i messed up" would be nice! Legend as a player, as a manager..... Telford are in need of a club legend aren't they? Any players flourished under him recently? Or has all the skill and verve been coached out of them by the current regime? Barky looks average, far from the dynamic players earlier in the season. Kev tries manfully when its obvious hes worn out. Was nice to see JB actually standing up today (wondered if the seat was broken) and not on his phone all the time... although Everton weren't playing until after we had capitulated!! Go now and keep a modicum of your reputation and help our budget for next season :?

You answered your own question as far as I'm concerned. There is a 'nearly there' element. Don't get me wrong, Jim's not above criticism. I've moaned about his tactics along with everyone else.

BUT...

Every season Jim manages to assemble a squad on a shoestring that we believe can do well. The frustration this season is that we should be much better. I even put money on them, and I don't normally bet (reminds me why I don't). We start so well, then comes the tinkering. Hopefully, he'll repeat the good stuff that he does, and manages to round up a decent squad, but keep them moving positively, rather than what happened this season. And last. And the one before. One more go at it.

Really don't understand. Nothing to do with money, he's turned into a shite manager which is why so many people have disappeared. And still so many people up Bentleys arse its unbelievable... Give him another go? Nope. I'm out. I loved our club so much, but the mentality of people who stick up for this rubbish? After 20 years supporting our 'little team batting above their weight' (poor excuse - we might as well not bother) what's the flipping point then???? I've got better things to do with my time and better things to waste my money on if you have no aspirations. Why bother at all then? Why do we bother paying every week? What do we want?

We want to prosper, we want to do more than survive, we want to compete, we want to thrive, we want to build on what we have and push on.
Off the field we have no money, so players demanding wages above what we can afford go to other clubs.
We pay what we can so we don't go bust.
We have, thanks to others being worse, survived again, yet any other season we would be in the shit this time, we all know it, from the top down.
Changes off the field are needed to enable us to push a little harder for players and ensure we can compete next season.

It's been a disaster in the past weeks, we concede and completely collapse.
It's soul distroying.

Thankfully two games left.

Clubs have cycles of good and bad, at all levels. Look at the Premier League this season for examples.
We are on a downward curve, which needs reversing next time out.

Speculate to accumulate?? Increase the budget to try and get better players?
New owner?
It's still no guarantee of any success as everyone is doing it.

There are a huge tranch of players expecting top wages for doing nowt on a Saturday, at lots of clubs. Perhaps a basic wage across a division with bonuses for results, goals and appearances?? Higher you finish the more you get paid??

I don't know the answers!

It hurts, but nobody has died.
We are still in League Two next season.

So why change a winning team so much for the next match? Bizarre management... we win one by stumbling upon a formation, quite a good game to watch, then crikey... Better change that!!! Then after we lose, make excuses that don't add up. Wish Jim all the best, but blimey, admit when you are you are wrong, you are big enough.

Morecambe fc need to get to grips with Life in modern day football. Jimbo should have been sacked but for some reason losing 27 games in a season seems acceptable.
From The Prem to the Conference that record would result in a sacking but Morecambe seen to play the small budget card, well Alty sacked Lee Sinnet (5 gears in charge) for falling to win in 9. Does this low budget team have more ambition than us?

A decision the alty fans are ruing and will ultimately lead to a relegation.

It's been a shit second half of the season. I think there's a lot more to it than jim. Pmg in his interview basically says as much.

Even Jims mates are struggling to come up with a valid reason for him to keep his job. He should have lost his job last season and how he is still employed by the club now is beyond me. What more needs to happed before you see sense? The crowd yesterday was worse than Hitchen Town's! The football is shocking and Jim sticks with his tactics because he has no idea how to change it! We have let in 89 goals! The man was a defender for gods sake!
It hurts that we are expected to put up with this shite because it is Jim! Jim, his hangers on and the few deluded people on here are harming this club!

Its always been the same there was the JH faithful for example and even though it was clear he could only take us so far they never wanted us to get rid of him cos we were only a small club punching above our weight and who else would we get.

Well next season these will be the only people turning up at the Globe so at least they can have their own private party.

Meanwhile back in the real world , Mark Hughes who so many on here wanted out is centre half for an Accrington Stanley side who are 2nd in the league, keeping clean sheets (what's one of those!) and nearly 40 points ahead of us !!

Its just fines lines. Or maybe not

Spot on P/T Indie. These were the same people who never gave Sammy the credit he deserved and still to this day harp on about his last season here as if he was a huge failure.

Whatever the issues behind the scenes (in any business), it's the job of management to motivate and keep things going. Unfortunately, Jim can't motivate the team to "walk through walls" - they'd barely manage to fight their way out of a paper bag. It's not just this season. Last year was crap too, but it was all forgiven with a few wins at the back end.

Unless he has a viable plan to turn it around and get supporters back, he needs to accept he's beaten and move on for the good of the club. He has to stop making excuses and accept his shortcomings that have helped cause the downward spiral of low attendances = reduced income = reduced budget.

I don't want to see Jim sacked, but its plain to see he can't Manage players. they must be as baffled as us with the team selections, and just like the fans ave given up, just going through the motions wanting the season to end.

Jim said, he's not a quitter, so everything is sitting with PMG and crowds decreasing.

If you speak to Jim Harvey his response would be that he never had the budget that Sammy had including not being allowed an Assistant for his last full season, whereas Sammy did.

And John Coleman said exactly the same at Rochdale about his time and when Keith Hill returned.

Money is the difference whatever anyone one says and we have none of it.

indeed, and assuming from PMG's comments in the past regarding the fact that we need about 2200 fans per game if we are to start breaking even , future losses are going to be even grimmer, so things are not going to improve for years, we never achieved these attendance targets when we were doing well in the league.

theres a lot who I speak to say this, but in past seasons we've only like been top or in the top promotion spots for a few weeks after a good start before we slide down the table again.

I feel if we were up at the top for most of the season going for promotion, then crwods would grow.

The current team just seems to have no heart or fight.

What happened to the spirit shown in the Crewe game , 3 minutes to go , 3-1 down , a man sent off and yet we win 4-3.

And the Chesterfield match , 3-0 down at half time , the Chesterfield fans singing "Can we play you every week". We come back to win 4-3 and our fans are singing "Can we play you every week" ! Now if someone is 3-0 up against us at half time it ends up 4 or 5 !

How any one can say its not to do with money is mental. Course it us he's had his budget slashed fir the past three years that means players who need motivating aren't responding any more but he's not able to get rid and bring better ones in. If Jim went another boss might lift things for a bit but without cash we'd be in the same situation a year on. Either refresh players or keep changing managers, that's how it goes.
