It really is a spectacular effort from all involved with Morecambe FC to manage to piss off such a large amount of people in a relatively short space of time, to the extent that it will be a long time before some of them are back, and some may never come back.

Bravo!
What a stupid post, makes no sense at all,all teams/clubs have bad spells dosent mean we should just walk away,,thru good times and bad,I will be renewing my season ticket because i think things will change for the better, bad season but it,s not the time panic, more prem money next season new owners ?,new sponsors ? saturdays game was not good but but it mite be the last straw for some but not for me,jim/club know it,s not good but i believe things will change .you never know in football we mite just do a leicester city, it would be great if that came true,if i was to walk away i would not feel i was a true supporter coming back if we went up,

Thanks for reminding me why I support our club. :)

It would be so easy to walk away but despite loosing it from time to time (yesterday was a bad day  ) there is no way that I can walk away despite what has been an awful season. Managers come and go and what will be will be regarding the existing managerial team but no matter how much it hurts to see our club in such a state of flux now is NOT the time to forget the past 57 years of support just because things are not gong the way we'd all like.

I do have issues about the lack of payment options for a season ticket but the Board have decided to stick with the way it has been done before...so be it. However I will purchase a season ticket in the hope that things can only get better.

With regard to season tickets it would make sense for the club to keep them at "Early Bird" price for longer than they usually do , certainly well into the close season and hopefully until any new Club Ownership has taken place so that if there is any surge of interest/re-interest then they will be attracted by the season tickets.

As TOM highlighted at the Fans Forum, season ticket payment options available are linked to cash flow. The early bird closing date tells me that the club want the money for ST a bit sooner this season:

500 * £250 (rough guesstimate) factoring in seated options and category types, £125k... Which I think is conservative.

Another opinion coukd be that given we don't have that many people buying them ,and that the ones that do would buy them anyway, don't have an early bird offer and make more profit.

I agree with morecambegeek. Just after we got annihilated 7-0 by Cambridge we then expect fans to come flocking back. We don't know yet the future of the club yet as to new ownership or the future of our current management but then expect to find £300 which is a lot to some who don't have it every season. We have not proven enough to expect fans to cough up the money to renew. People want entertainment which we have not provided enough over the last two season. Think morecambegeek has some very good points, even if he has his differences with Christie child.

+1

Agree entirely.

Early bird season could do with being longer I feel.

Still a good deal, granted. But extending it might pull more in ??

Early bird offer is far too early! Season is barely over and fans around the area are already having to think about when to introduce that thorny subject to the other half of 'can I spend £219 on a Morecambe season ticket?'

With all the uncertainty around the club I think it would make sense to extend it at least until the next fixtures come out in June. Those that buy every year will probably already be in the process of renewing, but its the floating season ticket purchaser (myself included) who the club need to be doing more to get them to commit.

Cant believe how many long serving fans are considering not renewing their season tickets! PMG should be very worried about this. Lets not forget it was he who offered Jim a contract extension.

It's nothing new though. In the PMG, if you arrive early before too many people have arrived, you only need to look at the seats in the C and D blocks to see all the blank white stickers covering up "season ticket holder" stickers of previous years which highlights the very large number of people who havn't renewed over the past few years. But yes, I think the ST sales this Summer will be a lot lower than last. Who can blame them?

After reading the match report about that dire performance down at Cambridge my season ticket for the remaining season games went straight in the bin...I'm now seriously considering whether to bother at all for next season.
May the fork be with you....

Well I have paid for my Season Ticket this morning :D

The Club Shop said several others had done so also this morning.

Let's hear some positivity and optimism from some other folks who have already renewed their season ticket :D

I am optimistic that new owners will be unveiled over the Summer and we will see some new players coming in. We will do OK next season, whether still under Jim or not :D :D

COYS :D :D :D

Referring to the price of season tickets, I noticed that if AFC Fylde get promoted to the National League, forever known as the Conference to me, their season ticket prices will be £195 for Standing areas and £230 for Seated areas.

which equates to £10 per game for the seats and £8.60 to stand, or less for concessions, representing value for money, just like ours, if you enjoy the entertainment.

Entertainment?? Is there a pre match caberet in the w&l suite? Even the half time break has been missing the 5-a-side mini matches....they were entertaining! :D
