Just got round to listening to this. He came across as genuine and showing a real concern and belief in the club. How some can lay the blame at PMG's door for not shelling out even more cash beats me. No one should be expected to shell out for ever.

Watching this reminds me of the fact that we could not have had a better chairman than PMG. He always comes across as a very shrewd but reasonable and fair man. Bearing in mind he is a businessman and not a walking source of charity, he really has gone above and beyond during his tenure for Morecambe FC.

Interesting that he is muting that he may stay on in some form. This to me hints towards a foreign investor that PMG will know well.

Sounds like any infrastructure plans are on the Berlin Wall side and not behind the Omega.

Whatever happens PMG has done us proud. Just hope in the future we look back at his time in charge as a catalyst to further success and not a distant golden era.

I am sure in another interview he said that the new owner would have to do the extension at the rear of the Omega stand as well as the Berlin Wall. I hope we get some artists impressions of what it will look like from inside the ground and that it will incorporate cover for that side.
He seems to think the hotel will also be on the front burner for a new owner.

He didn't really answer the question about what happened to the investment he talked about at the forum despite freeze pushing him on it.

I can't work out who would invest in us heavily cos how would you ever get a return. remb all the land at the front we ended up selling which originally we were meant to lease.

I agree the new people could be someone he knows but then would we get the sweeping changes that some people want.

Wild speculation, but it sounds to me like there are two potential offers on the table:

Some international investor that PMG knows well. I reckon this will be his preferred seller but will need convincing of the business merits of buying a struggling L2 club. Think this is why the ideas of a hotel, office blocks etc are being used to paint the bigger picture.

Local consortium (including former directors?). Probably less likely to have the cash to invest heavily in infrastructure but might get some of the old vibe back lost since moving to the Globe.

Whatever happens, PMG really needs a result on these negotiations.
