A complete clear out is needed, especially if Jim is going to be staying as for whatever reason they don't appear to have been playing for him the past few months.

I'm afraid for me it would be a clean sweep of the defence with the possible exception of Parrish and Edwards.
I would release Beeley who is a shadow of last season and Doyle who I see as Conference North standard but not up to the quality strikers we face in this division. Stevenage were an awful team but they tore our defence to shreds.

Agree with this but, keeping Edwards?
You say Beeley is a shadow of last season which I agree with, but Edwards is the same if not moreso.

They're not yet good enough to cope with regular L2 football and both will develop with age. A bit unfair to throw Edwards in at the deep end these last two seasons, moreso this year without an experienced partner like Hughes.

They should be more organised and made in to a team. Unfortunately this is not happening at our club hence the huge underacheivement we have seen in the last two seasons. As long as players try and work for the club, Morecambe fans have always been supportive of the team.
Sammy Mac signed players that did not even look like footballers but they were what the team needed at the time. Adams, Sorvell and Blinky hardly set the world on fire but when they came here they totally raised the bar.

Trevor wrote:My points valid anyway Ken. All managers bring players in some come off, some don't, others did but don't any more. Managers with steady budgets, or increased ones, can bring in as good or better replacements. If your budget is cut year after year, its just logic that your going to struggle to bring in new players better than the ones you want to ship out. And each year it gets worse. The players this manager has bought in gave kept us in the league but the cuts are bound to take there toll eventually.
