Managers with steady budgets, or increased ones, can bring in as good or better replacements. If your budget is cut year after year, its just logic that your going to struggle to bring in new players better than the ones you want to ship out. And each year it gets worse. The players this manager has bought in gave kept us in the league but the cuts are bound to take there toll eventually.
Why would you want to replace players out of our so-called best squad ever , its really pathetic to blame the budget . This is the team that were the top goal scorers in all divisions early part of the season , who went on to beat 3 top league one clubs , one of which were at the top and unbeaten till we played them and for me the best football i have seen at the Globe . BUT then Jim decided we were shipping too many goals even though we were still WINNING , and that my friend is when it all started going pear shaped . Changing a winning side and tinkering is why we ended up where we are , nowt to do with the budget.
