Its nothing to do with M.P.'s

It was a councillor who threatened to resign but didn't.

No news on what decision was taken and PMG issued a "no comment" to the "visitor".

Wether this is correct or not but I have no reason not to believe the person who told me, is that when the club moved the council gave the land as a 'gift', so the club didn't
buy the land. Apparently the developer building the new housing estate have made a substantial offer to buy all the land ground and facilities to build more houses. Neither the developer or the council are giving any money towards relocation or building of a new ground ! Like I say I have no read on not to believe the person who told me.

If that's the case then how have the club been selling land around the ground to cover losses in recent years?

Thought them sales where to other directors though, so should be easy to sort. We buying Sainsburys then, to knock it down and build CP2?

Doesn't matter who you sell it to, if you don't own it in the first place you can't sell it!

Thought he said the club were given the land. Maybe thats been the arguement - oy we gave it you for a football ground not to sell it off!

Fair enough if that's the case. I read it as we didn't own the land and it was still council owned and we just had permission to use it.

If the club did own this land then why would a company looking to purchase it go to the council rather than the football club?

Assuming that the council gave us the land, does that mean that the land that the Hurley Flyer is on is also council owned and if so surely this would have been mentioned before when it was made public that the club had sold the land to Marstons.... :?: :?: :?:
