That was my thought too. Even if they do sign, I'd be surprised if they both did so at the same time AND it not be headline news on the official web site. It would be a big, good news story if they had, surely even our marketing team couldn't miss an opportunity like that???

Neither have had a better offer yet, nor have they signed , although plenty of teams looked at them last season, their contracts are up at the end of the month.

Contracts usually go to the 30th June.

When players are released and where they haven't actually signed for anyone before the 1st August then the club that releases them has to pay them a months salary for July as a sort of in lieu of notice payment. If a club signs a player that has been released before 1st August then that club has to pay the player his salary for July. This is why a lot of deals such as when we signed Podge from Accrington are not announced until August.

No he's not he hasnt got any offers from elsewhere yet neither has Miller. I spoke to Jamie on Monday and both have been promised by the club if it gets sold they'll get improved deals. Untill that happens, there both hanging out for something better

The club could say that if their are new owners there is a fair chance of an improved offer but it couldn't be promised as a dead cert.

My feeling on the club is that this could be the week. The accounts for the year to 30 May 2015 have by law to be filed at Companies House by midnight on Tuesday. There is a fine if they aren't but they might take a fine if they don't want them to be public knowledge just yet.

I reckon 1st June will be the day for any change !
