Assuming that it is him and not some 'look alike' maybe he came to Morecambe to get his mind right for the prospect of the new Man Utd manager not used to playing younger players. The prospect of a enforced move elsewhere could be on his mind.

Given his mum works in a bookies and the family are from a very working class area of Manchester, perhaps hitting the nearest part of the coast before going to Sunderland is a nice bit of R & R?

A feather in the cap for Rods Morecambe Hotel, any names would have previously gone to the Midland.

Wonder on what terms Rod has signed him :lol:
