The summer transfer window

It would have made sense to give Bailey the game time that was given to Connor Oliver. He couldn't get in a terrible Lashers team that we will be playing next season.

Personally I don't think the people in Spain have any real say in what will happen over the coming months. Hope they enjoy their hols, no doubt some of the conversation will be have we got a job to come back to

The lengths they literally have to go to, to get away from flies on the wall, handing out bottles of water!

So how did that work out then?

I think any new owner, will be aware Jim is a popular ex player, and wipe the slate clean, and give him a chance.

then if we was to go on a bad run with crowds decreasing, I could see Jim going, and the club making a statement, that they want a change wanting somebody new to take us in a different direction.

I feel even if Jim had money to spend, it would not stop him messing players about, and wining formulas.

Whether Jim is an ex player or not you cannot guarantee that the new owners are going to roll over backwards to give Jim a chance. They may or may not have their own ideas of what they want at the club from day one. Until we have confirmation from the club we cannot say that Jim's job is safe like any of the players.

Dean winnard has been in talks with the club and is set to sign after a lack of game time at Stanley. Don't know wether he was released or has decided to leave himself but it's not a bad signing to play alongside Edwards id say :D

He has "been given a new contract to consider" at Accy. As has Mark Hughes:

Sounds about right as we always seem to go for Accy players these days.

Pretty sure he's a lot older than Edwards, people forget how young Ryan still is. Hopefully they'll make good partnership tho :D

26 by all accounts but has been plagued with injuries since the New Year.

Found this post about him on the Accy Forum. Sounds as though he was well liked.

Played predominantly as a left back for Accrington and was also their captain before he got injured.

Crookes and Windass already departed for Rangers as well.

As has been said elsewhere, this isn't unusual for Accrington, they seem to sign an entire new team every year.

I think we should keep our powder dry until any news of any new signings is officially announced on the OWS.....

It's tempting to say 'welcome' but we all know how at this time in the close season how rumours and speculation can be groundless..... ;) ;) ;) even if 'fly on the wall' postings have some basis....

If Winnard is going to sign for us then does that mean we have offered him more money if so then that would indicate our budget is not inferior to Accys as some would have us believe, or it could be that we have told him he will be playing as a centre back which might be his preferred position, whatever the reason he would be a good addition to our team if of course it happens.

We've released players who would have been on good money ( I assume)..Dugdale, Bees, Goodall and Paz so maybe the collective money from those areas means that we can afford to spread the budget more evenly..... :?: :?: :?:

I'd imagine he's been offered slightly better deal with us wether it's a preferred position more game time or better money. Whatever the reason it's a great addition and better than what we had. Stanley seem to be in abit of turmoil if it's true what people have been posting on their forum. Davies and Buxton both set to leave their goalie has signed for donny and Coleman is wanted by port vale. Coleman could be doing the dirt and offered them low deals until he takes over at port vale then offer them a deal there being the snake he is !

Akinfenwa fo be released by Wimbledon after today's play off final. Having watched both legs against Accy I find this surprising as without him they wouldn't have made the final.
