I think it's because they've all been announced in one go, rather than game-by-game.

Last season's friendlies were between July 14th - 5th August. This year's are 12th July - 30th July. Similar amount of matches in a similar time scale.

The 23.05 wont get you back till 05.56 the next day, there is one at 22.12 which gets into Lancaster at 22.47, about a 35 minute walk from Oxenholme station to the ground its a 7.30 KO so its possible.

Alternatively you can get the train from Kendal which is about a 20 minute walk from the ground, 21.54 change at Oxenholme gets you into Lancaster at 22.26, or 22.59 from Kendal direct to Lancaster which gets into Lancaster at 23.22.

The walk from the ground to Oxenholme is quicker than that to Kendal station.....you just need to know the way through the housing estate... :!:

The 22:59 from Kendal IS the 23:05 from Oxenholme...

Drummys lads have a game against Lancaster on the same night as the Burnley game

It is actually shorter going round the back of the leisure centre and along Oxenholme Rd. than it is around the housing estete, still takes 30 minutes though
Glad the 23.05 stops at lancaster ;)

About time we started building bridges with Lancaster. I'd also hope we get Kendal to come down and play at the Globe rather than us always going up there. Morecambe, on it's own, can't support a L2 club. It needs to be rebranded as the league club of the entire area so we get Kendal and Lancaster supporters down at the Globe more often rather than staying in their own towns. That's why I was pleased that the Morecambe ladies had that game at the Globe last year - shame it's not been repeated.

Hope we're sending a Youth / Reserve Team to Carnforth Rangers again too ?

I've tweeted both @shrimpsofficial and also @carnforthranger to ask the question but nothing yet.

I see Fleetwood Town have the senior Liverpool team for a friendly game as listed on the LFC website.... wish we could be so lucky!

When Liverpool XI come to play us, Liverpool are on tour in America and play AC Milan on the Sunday in California.

Rhyl away anyone?

Nice little ground is Rhyl's.

Been there a few times when we were in the Northern Premier League to see us play Rhyl and Colwyn Bay also briefly ground shared there too.

NOT the happiest of hunting grounds for Morecambe in years gone by....
