The whole thing is a bloody farce at the moment (it pains me to say :( )

There is still no official word on our website about Dev leaving (not quite sure why that bothers me so much, but it does)

There is no mention whatsoever on our website about us having an away friendly match at Kendal Town on the 2nd August.

However, we do have a "Focus on Accrington Stanley" on our website

I've bought my season ticket and will continue to support this club no matter what. It never, ever ceases to amaze me though at the moment. And not in a good way.

I think we have to be clear on a couple of things regarding the chairman, he has an aloofness bordering on disdain for the fans, when it comes to any of us making assumptions or suggestions it is moaned about as ''negative, and harmful to the club''.
and secondly, he is very single minded about whatever he does, I doubt he even consults his board , let alone the supporters, and any comments he makes regarding possible things happening soon should be taken with a pinch of salt.

In his video re selling the club, I thought PMG looked and sounded bored and aloof during the entire thing. At the end of the last match, everyone was on the pitch, yet there he was in his private box - I could almost imagine him waving like the Queen or the Pope down to his people! No wonder there's a "them and us" feeling around the club. Why wasn't he on the pitch with the rest of Board, alongside Jim and all the others - a little thing but it would make a massive difference.

I get the same feeling re Mark Dixon, whether true or not, but he gives off the same vibes of not really being interested in the core supporters and more interesting in brown-nosing the corporates.

And thereby lies the problem.

The core supporters, the lifeblood of our club, have been neglected and given the feeling of "not being arsed" about.

The corporates seem to be the priority - ok, they bring in much needed funds.

But. A football club without fans is nothing.

The thing I can't understand is that if the playing budget is really being slashed from a low budget to start with how have we ended up with Windess? He was offered terms by Accy so we must have capped that.

No doubt the money saved on Jamie's wages and possibly Shaun's will go some way to offset whatever reduction in budget the manager has been given ASSUMING that a reduction has been made. However I doubt it's as bad as some are making out. The profits of doom are having a field day at the moment and seem to be fully aware of what goes on behind the closed door of the Boardroom. (Where is that fly on the wall when the truth would be exposed... :?: :?: :?: )

I'm getting sick and tired of so called fans ( :?: ) having a constant pop at PMcG who seems to be blamed for every thing that is wrong ( :?: ) with our club at the moment. Talk about 'dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't '... It's little wonder that he's decided enough is enough. One thing for certain is that any potential buyer only needs to take a look at SVs and says ...'no thanks'.

People go on about the lack of facilities, but are they any different than those at Christie Park which was in a terrible state of repair and was one of the reasons for the move. Had we stayed at CP who would have funded those repairs.....oh PMcG and his colleagues of course...

And as for the dramatic drop in gates......the main cause is that people are not prepared to pay hard earned cash for the utter garbage that has been witnessed on the field for well over a season. Until that improves and supporters get entertained (after all we are in the entertainment business) then gates will continue to fall.

A winning team increases support whatever the facilities are for just 90 minutes.... :!: :!: :!:

Your ''crush'' on peter means you cannot be objective Niel, just like your dislike for Ken, :D your assertion that we can attain profitability through the gates by playing more entertaining football is a pipe dream, it's not achievable and we all know it apart from you.

I'm pretty sure we will see administration sooner rather than later, and to just enjoy what's left of league football until it happens

I could go on forever about the absolute cataclysmic fuck up the club has made at every point since sainsburys offered to buy Christie park but what's the point. Essentially for 20 years we've had a beneficiary that will pay the bills and al the staff connected have had little if any regard for profitability and growing the club.

One day the club may engage staff capable of selling the club to the greater public to get people through the doors. A town like morecambe with Lancaster next door and the lakes up above should be embarrassed that we can't get 3000 through on a Saturday, let alone 2000 for league football.

Jim is a legend and to be honest, I'm delighted he's here next year as fuck knows what the club will be without him and Ken. This whole nonsense of sacking him is laughable.

Naah mate, not me I appreciate his efforts, but I am just typing my opinion, I am not a ''licker!''

I don't know if you are a christian Neil, but I think your 'worship'' of the chairman actually breaks one of the ten commandments!

Well he is Chairman! Ultimately any blame / praise regarding the running of the club should lay at his feet.

As I said previously 'he's dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't'.....

Are falling gates HIS fault as well OR is it what happens on the field on match days.... :?: :?: :?:

It's his fault as he runs the club. If you think that performances on the field are the problem then PMG is the bloke who decides who is the manager of the football team so the fact he hasn't sacked Jim and replaced him with someone who will provide the free-flowing winning football that you think will double our attendances means that PMG is ultimately responsible.

The gates are falling purely and simply because the club in it's current guise has lost its connection with the fans.

In my opinion anyway.

PMG has done great for this club, really great – but over the last couple of years hes stopped putting money in (fair enough, hes done it for long time). I think since then hes wanted too much back out of it to allow anyone to take it over – again his right to do so but not the best thing for the club.
Werent there a offer on the table a few years back that nearly came off from two directors? Mr Hodgson and Wright of ‘Wright and Lord’? That would of been good for the club.
I’m surprised the manager had been getting all the stick he had and the chairman is only just getting any.

No he hasn't, he's still having to put money in to cover the losses - in 14/15 he bought more shares and made more loans. The £800k has to be financed from somewhere - mostly money from PMG, sale of assets and bank loans. If he didn't put money in, the club would go into liquidation. But there's obviously a limit to how much he can or wants to put in. I'm not sure he's actually taken anything back out yet from the monies he's put in over the last few years.

But that's only half the story. Under his stewardship, the club has pissed away millions of pounds from the Sainsbury sale, in the form of the director's boxes, the gym, artificial pitches barely rented out, sale of the surplus land as firesale to bring in cash (rather than selling at top of the market or leasing out to generate income), and to cover ongoing losses, yet didn't invest that money in income generating projects such as the office, the Omega covered bar, etc. At the time of the sale, we were promised a golden future with money for top players, fantastic new facilities, self-financing club due to new income streams, etc. It's all gone wrong!

Aah right. Sorry, I'm not an accountant, you have me there.

So "no he hasn't" 'hasnt' done great for the club - hasnt stopped putting money in or 'hasn't' wanted too much back out to allow anyone to takeover ?

No-one outside the inner circle knows just what he wants. I suspect a major part of the problem is that he wants all or most of his money back (who wouldn't?) and is holding out for a high offer. Unfortunately, that's not likely to happen.

If, say, he wants, say £2 or £3 million, the club also owes a few hundred K in loans etc, so say £3m, but Jim needs more money for players, so say another half million, and whoever buys it needs to spend a million or two to fund the building projects, and another million or two to cover the inevitable losses for the next 2/3 years whilst the club is turned around. You're up to £5 or £6 million to pay off PMG and pump into the club to try to turn it around. Let's be realistic, with crowds of 1,500, no-one's going to do that. A business investor will want the club for advertising/marketing, i.e. name on player shirts, ground re-named, etc - with just 1,500 prospective customers, that advertising isn't worth £500k let alone £5m.

Greed was probably the reason we didn't get a new ground sponsor. They probably wanted a couple of hundred thousand for a five year deal, which just doesn't stack up for the potential advertising/marketing returns from the relatively few people who'd buy their products after such brand awareness.

Of course, as I say, no-one knows. PMG may be willing to write off all or most of his investment and loans for the good of the club if it means the right long-term buyer takes over.
