Payet what a goal and what a bargain West Ham got, they will do well to keep hold of him, must be worth 40 million, could play in any team in Europe

That awkward moment when an English hooligan is wearing a nicer bag than you so you bottle him

Strong reports suggesting instead of playing the impressive 442 diamond shape with Vardy and Kane in a front 2

Woy is now going 433 with Harry Kane on his own with Sterling n Ronney out wide and Vardy on the bench, hope not. :(

Englan fans will be glad to leave Marseille.

think it's embarrassing crying to FIFA about the Russians, when you consider our reputation with club football in Europe too, I don't expect any spmpathey.

The Russian are uniformed wearing black t-shirts and gum shields like Bouncers you see in Benidorm and Ibiza etc, reportedly being paid to beat English fans up by the Russian Mafia . it's all about prestige, they see England fans as a trophy and the enemy in a political sense.

if you go on other news channels, not the BBC, it's reported differently.

back to the football, I was impressed with Wales, I don't think we'll get much change out of them.

Looks like there is a chance the England and Russian squads may be coming home early following the FIFA statement regarding the disgraceful behavior of both sets of fans . Although it will only be a small group on both sides it will tar everybody with the same brush !!!. Back to the bad old days again :(

I went there when England played Columbia.

it's a 40.000(there abouts) capacity stadium what holds more than the town.

just picture a 40.000 stadium in somewhere like Carnforth, with a train station like Morecambe's, and you'll know what I mean.

I hope that's the last time I see Sterling in an England shirt. Vardy, in the same system; 4:3:3, would've been a better option and brought Kane into the game more.

I agree, no end product with Sterling, take his pace away what's he got?

reminds me of Daley who played for Aston Villa for many years and had a few caps for England

And also UEFA has banned alcohol near the stadiums in France and hopefully it will settle down as well as the threat of being booted out of the tournament

Uefa have given Russia a suspended disqualification. This means if there are crowd disturbances INSIDE the stadium they will be kicked out of the tournament. 29 Russians have been deported but with England and Russia both based in Lille over the next few days violence is inevitable. Russia will not be disqualified for trouble on the streets although just days ago England were threatened with disqualification for incidents OUTSIDE the stadium.

So far 6 England fans have been arrested for incidents on the streets but only 2 Russians have been arrested for pitch invasions. I don't think the French police fancy taking on the Russians.

With regards to the suspended disqualification the exact details have not been confirmed. Does there need to be a major riot for them to be disqualified or just a few flares to be thrown?

Is it not normally a week before the League fixtures are announced?

Struggling to find the date online for the C.O. Cup draw date tbh

When it was "The Football League" this information was easily accessible, now it's the EFL and they have been busy messing with the Trophy, they seem to have forgotten about the League Cup

You'd think UEFA could ban Russia for the encouragement given by officials, to whit (from BBC):

'"The lads defended the honour of their country," Russian media quoted MP Igor Lebedev, who is also on the executive committee of the Football Union.

The spokesman for Russia's powerful Investigative Committee went even further.

"A normal man, as he should be, surprises them," tweeted Vladimir Markin, referring to European outrage at Russian hooligans. "They're used to seeing 'men' at gay parades," he concluded.'

Hardly surprising the fans are a bunch of hooligans.

How about:

“I don’t see anything wrong with the fans fighting. Quite the opposite, well done lads, keep it up!"

Yeah, I'd seen that one earlier, it just didn't appear in the article I copied the others from. I still say UEFA should be able to ban them on that basis, and even FIFA strip them of the 2018 World Cup, as they not only clearly have a hooligan problem, but it is endorsed and even encouraged by football officials.

Same here, and it seems to be called the EFL Cup now. I'm fairly sure the draw is made the day before the fixtures are released, so maybe with the lack of info available it might be the same day this year...
