I'd have hoped to see a LOT more advertising of the forthcoming England games being screened at the club if I'm being honest too....

We should have some A4 posters up in the local takeaways, chippies, shops etc etc....

So simple and easy to do to bring in the punters and much needed money....

Do you often splash out a few hundred quid on a night out on seeing a poster when standing in line for chips?

It's the frigging sign on Skerton Bridge all over again. No wonder no one turns up at the Globe now that signs gone.

How much do you spend going to watch a Euro '16 game on the TV?!?!? Bloomin' big spender aren't you?

What you on about?? "A few hundred quid" ??

I'm saying the club COULD have printed some flyers advertising the game screening and asked local takeaways to display them on their premises.

I think Geek thought you meant "Gala Draw" not The England game.

Sorry. I missed the one post in the thread referencing something completely different to the actual topic. Forgive me.

I still maintain that advertising gets less bums through doors than people on here believe - it isn't just wanging up posters and a full bar magically ensues.

However, why the club decided to hold these at such late notice, the draw and fixtures having been known weeks before the end of the season when it could have easily have been promoted around the ground for almost nothing shows the complete lack of forethought at the club.
