Would anyone really want anyone who's left? Barkhuizen aside, the players that have been left aren't going to trouble the first 11 of many other League 2 teams?

Because I'm not entirely sure that the following is accurate, I'll be deliberately vague.

I think there are two people who can post to the Official Web Site. One is employed in another capacity within the club and 'fits it in', around their main role. The other has a full time job elsewhere. They may get some payment from the club, or do it voluntarily, I don't know which, but it certainly isn't a full time roll. They also have a child getting married soon (this weekend?) so are probably pretty busy elsewhere!

In short, we don't have a full time, employed 'media' person, so it is going to be difficult to create news items when there isn't that much news to report at the moment. Even if it is frustrating for us.

So how did that work out then?

From what we can gather, both offered reduced contracts, so expecting them to drive up from Staffs for less money???
Cant blame either of them if true!!

If you are in a position where you have to offer less to your two top members of staff, then you really are in the poo - and this is with the extra money handed down from the Premier League.

How on earth have we managed to lure Accrington's best defender if that is the case.

Maybe thought his team mates include the player with loads of assists and another who scores lots of goals

it's funny that fans of other teams keep saying "keep the faith" but this is really hard to take.

I was hoping they both could have waited till the takeover and negotiated contracts. To lose your 2 best players must reduce the price of the club.
I'm gutted they have both gone and Carlisle have signed 2 excellent players for free.

Disappointing but won't affect the price or value of the club.

An out of contract player over 23 years old has no value.

If the takeover happens the club may be able to sign similar calibre players.

The exit of the better players plus the uncertainty of ownership will put players off signing, the ones we do sign will be ones nobody else wants....therefore the manager will have a legitimate complaint that its not his fault.....blah bleh etc.

If a takeover was pending then surely the new owners would have tried to keep our potentially best two assets and offer them improved contracts rather than reduced ones as we are led to believe, and i cannot see how we can attract players of a similar calibre on a relatively low salary.

Would be interesting to know at what stage if any the takeover talks are at , maybe Ken H can enlighten us on how long these things take or is there any way of checking i.e if any potential buyer has to state publicly that they have shown an interest or would it show up on a credit check etc .

I think they were both always leaving whether or not the takeover had happened by now.

... Yes , Miller wasnt an automatic choice anyway, Jim did pick others infront of him, despite scoring goals.

And that would have baffled him aswell as Fans, so Carlisle was a no brainer.

Can't believe that Jim doesn't talk to his players and explain the reasons for leaving them out or playing them as impact subs and it must go farther than a short..."because I say so!"

but this is what a lot of the on the field problems are down to.

Jim isnt proactive enough, he's to reactive with his management, in laymens terms lets go for it and let teams worry about us.
