Are the new shirts going to be unveiled at the Gala night ??
There is normally some speculation as to what design we will have not seen anything or have I missed it

Do we want the Stripes to remain, or do we revert to our more traditional red and white strip, or do we enter the worst kit design category , great publicity for the club( remember the first team to play in a pink kit), all will be revealed on the 2nd July no doubt

Was it Everton in their Salmon effort, or Stockport County a few years back when Carl Baker was there?

Leeds wore a pink kit against Stoke City years ago. They were beaten heavily and never wore it again.

In answer to Bara's original question, Red and White is always my favourite.

Dug out my old Morecambe 1997/98 Pony shirt this weekend (sponsored by Oasis).

Cracking shirt that one was and probably one of my favourites.

Nah, not a big fan of pretend Man U red and white. Red n black stripes in the early 90's in some shape or form were my fave, so for me stick with red black stripes, perhaps with white shorts this season???

This 100% and stick with it. I'm not a fan of the shirt changing every season. All red with white collar, then red with white sleeves (like Rotherham), then red shirt with a thick black stripe on the sleeve, then red and black stripes.

Since the club moved to the Globe the club has lacked an identity (or rather lost it) and the strip is another one that has gone under most people's radars. It probably doesn't matter to most but it would be nice to stick with one design/style and keep it for a bit.

I'm totally in favour of the club changing its kit every season for one simple reason.....additional revenue into the club as a result of fans wanting to purchase that seasons kit.

I suspect that the club raise a fair amount of money from all the differing forms of clothing available every season. From first team home shirt all the way through to training and rain weather gear.

As for my preference of first team kit to date, the red and black stripes of last season was excellent but I suspect that we could be reverting back to a more traditional red/white this season although I'd personally like to see a new variation of last seasons kit.

However all will be revealed at the club's forthcoming Gala Evening which to swell its number should be open to all fans at a cost of circa £35 per head.

I agree with the red/white or red/black for the home shirt but do something different and classy with the away shirt. I quite liked the spearmint green kit Portugal had on last night.

Just had a peep at the Carbrini web site and I quite like this variation of last seasons kit...

Our kits change too much and it erodes our identity, as does having a cartoon shrimp as our badge. I think we should do something that makes us look unique and have identity - how about yellow collars?

Too late for this season obviously - as Mark Dixon stated at the most recent fans forum, the kit designs are selected around November.

Just like the Wembley '74 ones had ! :D

That's what we need - memories of our history. Not just sweeping it under the carpet.

I did suggest the red n yellow angle a few years ago, as currently nobody has that exact colour scheme in the League!!
I'd settle for that if we stuck to variations of it!!!

Quite like the 78 - 80 ones with a black stripe across the middle. Maybe even a sash like 73/74 but in black rather than white.

I agree about the red and yellow.
I think an updated shirt based on the 1974 Wembley shirt or the red shirt with the white sash always looked good. I would like a return to red shorts and red socks, but it might be too close to Liverpool colours for Jim's liking.

Sod him! :D We can have a blue and white away kit to appease him!
