I've just come across the above report which says Morecambe will be bottom of the League 2 table after the first five games after losing ALL 5 games.
I'll leave you to have your own thoughts but I know what mine are?????

Unless we get some new blood on board before the KO then who knows.... :?: :?: :?:

Would like to be confident but.... :( :( :(

BUT does Quinny have insider info to be more confident than most of us on SVs.... :?: :?: :?:

Wouldn't surprise me and will probably prop the league up for the majority of the season if things stay as they are

With the squad as it is at present , its hard to see where points will come from in the first 5.

They don't fancy Carlisle even with all their big signings

Looking back at last season it was the wins in the early games that saved us from relegation , this season I fear we aren't going to have such a luxury. I fear it will just be a continuation of last season unless something drastic changes in the next couple of weeks, and I'm not holding my breath !

On the bright side, we are only 3 points from safety, and 8 off the play-offs.

They don't think we'll score a goal in the first five games either

I'm not convinced that Blackpool won't continue their free fall and we may pick up something there... preferably not something contagious!

This stuff makes my blood boil. I rarely get on here these days but i'm glad Quinny did post this as it's an incentive for everyone at the club to prove arrogant clubs like Plymouth wrong. I'm as grumpy a git as anyone when we're not doing well but despite the odds the players (there will will be more to come in) haven't got the burden of expectancy hanging over them this season. As fans, every game will be like a cup final.
So lets just see and for chrisakes lets get behind the team. The fact that the Pilgrims, with their budget/fanbase, are still in this league is a joke so they aren't exactly pulling up trees. I'm getting all fired up already and a ball hasn't even been kicked. And every Shrimps' fan should feel the same.
It's not going to be easy but just to assume we're cannon fodder is ridiculous at this stage. Tough start, yes. But the pressure's on opposing sides as their fans will expect them to beat us.
Two good signings at the back so far. Expecting Edwards to improve under Winard. Conlan will also come on in leaps and bounds this season. Up front, i'll grant, is a tricky one but we didn't sign Millar till late on so who knows this time around.
