All I'm aware of is dean smalley an attacking midfielder being on trial released from Plymouth. Untill we can have a look at him in games which is 2 weeks away, I doubt a decision will be made before then on him

Let's get real, any player with us on trial will just play a few games then hope a better club takes a gamble on them because we won't be able to offer much in wages. We still need a GK id say a striker too apparently jim only wants 18 players this season mixed with youngsters. We'll probably see 3 more signings at the most

Dean Smalley is in fact a striker who had his career halted by serious injury to his crucial ligaments. He was signed by Plymouth from Oxford where the then manager John Sheridan proclaimed Deane to have a superb career ahead of him, unfortunately events proved otherwise and he spent the end of last season on loan at Newport County.

If signed it could well be a case of our management team once again resurrecting a players career just like they did with both Jamie and Shaun.

Deane's two-year Home Park career was blighted by serious injury which limited him to all but a few minutes of this season. The forward made only five starts and 14 substitute appearances since joining the club from Oxford United at the beginning of the 2014-15 campaign; his sole league goal was an injury-time penalty equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Stevenage at Home Park.

For me he's worth taking a gamble on. Maybe on a 6 month contract or Pay as you Play basis.

No good to take a gamble if we have a wafer thin squad for this season. If we lose Murphy then we have this dude here we could be two down before the season starts. Sorry too much of a gamble, would rather we look at other players who are physically up for it throughout the season. Steve Davies released by Bradford may be worth a look at. Same age as Miller & another one from Liverpool. Depends if we can afford him.

I can on a season long loan, so they can see what he's made of. part of his development .

We don't need another young striker already have two. Unless mullin could be loaned out then I can't see us going into the season with 3 strikers no older than 22 need someone with abit of experience
