Legends' wall

Legends' wall

Postby Wild Bill » Sun Jul 10, 2016 8:23 pm

Seen a discussion on FB about a legends' wall. For those in direct contact with the club (FCOM, SADARSE etc) how likely is this to actually happen? I would be happy to chip in for paint and I am sure plenty of others would do too. Maybe get local art students down to help with the painting?

For me, the best option is the back of the Omega with 'MORECAMBE FC' (similar to CP in the 90s) on the outside and the legends inside. Unfortunately I don't think the Berlin Wall would work as its quite low and with the sponsors' boards and fans on, you wouldn't be able to see them. Some red and white stripes though might help brighten it up?

They are keen to get pics in place asap in the bar, M Hinchcliffe is asking for pics he can get framed, I believe Paul from FCOM is sorting a trophy cabinet out for in the bar too.

If you can pass my details, I'll dig out some photos.

Low quality images, but some that would look good framed, and any excuse to watch this again...

So how did that work out then?

A few weeks ago Rangers produced this image of the clubs greatest 11 based on a vote by supporters in 1999. Obviously we have less space to work with but something similar would be ideal. Our stadium looks similar to a lot of new builds at this level and we need to personalise it.

Wouldn't Mike Williamson or Ian Lyons have a few pics of former legends? Think they have been taking photos of the teams for a year.... or 30!! :D
