People have posted the names of trialists but no one has a full list of all eight together...

Dan Agyei from Burnley, striker , clarets are looking for long term loan , wanting guarantees regarding game time, very exiting young player signed from Wimbledon .

We actually operate a bit more secretly than we need to Asda, free agents are touted around willy nilly anyway and even very average players seem to have a promo video on youtube nowadays, loan trialists are usually 80% ''done deals'' when they come and train.

Well the official Morecambe FC twitter has all 4 goals and for the 2nd and 3rd it refers to them being scored by "JaymeMcc".
Presumably if that is the official MFC twitter it suggests he has signed for us or is going to sign.

So here are all 8

1. Ryan Croasdale - Midfielder
2. Alex Whitmore - Defender
3. Tom Kennedy - Defender
4. Dean Smalley - Striker
5. Daniel Agyei - Striker
6. Michael Rose - Defender
7. Jamie McDonald - Striker
8. Danijel Nizic - Keeper

Who were the centre backs in first and second game? And who was the midfielder vs Bury?

2 of them are Burnley players so would be loanees and not our players.

Be interesting to see which of them are in action against the Clarets on Tuesday.

Tom Kennedy whose dad, Keith, and more famous Uncle Alan, both played for Morecambe.

Keith 1984/85 - 1986/87

Alan 1990/91

He never played for Morecambe but Ryan's dad Mark was British fell running champion, won the Washington DC marathon and represented GB in cross country skiing at the Winter Olympics. Don't remember him being much of a footballer though, he trained with us at Halton Rangers but I don't recall him getting a game

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I don't think this is right.

In the Bamber Bridge game we had 8 trialists of which we knew 7: Alex Whitmore, Daniel Agyei, Deane Smalley, Ryan Croasdale, Michael Rose, Daniel Nizic, Jamie McDonald.

On the teamsheet for Saturday 8 trialists were listed but the two Burnley lads weren't amongst them. Tom Kennedy was identified as one of the other trialists.

So, in Summary that means we had 1 trialist in the Bamber Bridge game that wasn't identified and 2 from the Bury / Blackburn games. It could be the case that the unidentified player from the Bamber Bridge game also played at the weekend so we've either had 2 or 3 unidentified trialists turn out for us in pre season so far + the 8 listed by RapidShrimp.

Still don't know who the No4 was in the Bury game who played at the back alongside a confident Edwards nor do we know who Hedley is and what is his footballing background.... :?: :?: :?:

Also there may have been at least one further triallist in midfield.... :?: :?: :?:

Maybe tomorrow v Burnley it may be a bit clearer who ALL our triallists are, in addition to those we already know.

By my reckoning there were 10 triallists on view , 5 per game.

:?: :?: :?:

Ben Hedley is a youngster in our Youth Academy. He was an unused substitute for a few first team games at the back end of last season.

Team sheet was as follows:

2) Wakefield
4) Trialist
5) Edwards
6) Trialist
7) Mullin
8) Trialist
9) Barkhuizen
10) Molyneux
11) Ellison
12) Roche
13) McGowan
14) Kenyon
15) Wildig
16) Winnard
17) Turner
18) Trialist
19) Trialist
20) Stockton
Brownswood
Hedley
Webb
Yawson
Trialist
Trialist
Trialist

8 trialists named.

There were 4 trialists that started the first game and 5 trialists that started the 2nd so presumably one of them played in both games?

8, 9 even 10....we've never had as many trialists for years....just hope that at least 3 possibly 4 turn out to be good uns.... :?: :?: :?:

Certainly liked the look of the No4 alongside Edwards, but still not sure that McDonald would be able to cope with some of the centre backs of League 2 unless as some one else suggested he played alongside Stockton who looked particularly capable in the air which makes a change for a Shrimps forward.

Interestingly on the Blackburn Rovers website they list our team against them as:

Roche, Wakefield, Winnard, Daly, Trialist, Kenyon, Trialist, Mullin, Wildig, Trialist, Stockton.

http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/20 ... 87208.aspx

Our team sheet listed 4 trialists so I'm assuming they've named one of them as Daly? In the picture on the article it shows the back of the number 6 and then Tom Kennedy in the background so I'm assuming the #6 is this Daly whoever he is?

EDIT: Just found a Daly on the Rovers website:

http://www.rovers.co.uk/team/reserves/f ... _daly.aspx

I think he played against Bamber Bridge too.

Well done Shrimpy as I think he was one of the mystery participants at the torture camp and can be seen in the squad photo on the hill at the camp.

Don't think he was to be honest. I think it was Smalley, Turner, Croasdale and McDonald at the camp who we didn't know at the time.

Daly can be seen here playing in the Bamber Bridge game: https://www.flickr.com/photos/129430412 ... 131970593/
