Last time I went to The Shay we got walloped 5-0

1998 it was and Brian Kilcline was in the Halifax team. And Geoff Horsfield.

Nightmare night.

Didn't we score? (My memory might be trying to make it better)

Bad day out for both us and Stanley who also lost 4-1 at Staylybridge Celtic so I suppose we can take some comfort in that Halifax are potentially a more potent force than Celtic.

Ok clutching at straws but need to find some kind of solace in the result...

We lost 0-2 away to Lancashire Constabulary in a pre season game in 1994.

That same season we went on to win promotion to the Conference.

I never read into friendly results.

Nizic should be as fit as a butchers dog with all the exercise picking the ball out of the back of the net

I thought Mullin, although he scored both of our goals, was very poor today, no strength when challenged, just opting to fall over. He also lacks any pace

Maybe we should be playing the Old Bill rather than Halifax then?

I noticed him, having not been able to beat his man, fall over on 3 occasions, looking for a foul - quite weird :? :?

Seven corners to none.
Seventeen shots to four.
Six goals to two.

What will we have learned from the game?
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
