Anyone know which trialists were involved v PNE tonight ?

On another matter Wes Fletcher who we tried to sign 3 years ago was playing on trial for Barrow against Accrington tonight.

Looks like Tom Kennedy is not going to be with us despite giving a good performance v Burnley.

Also would have liked to have seen more of the Burnley centre half last night. 15 minutes wasn't much time to show what he can do.

Anybody else think that Edwards is under performing at the moment and seems to be one of the weak links in the defence.... :?: :?: :?:

On last night performance (?) we have still a long way to go to being a force in league 2. My guest for the evening was amazed at the amount of space we gave to PNE highlighted in 3 goals from 20+ yard shots all due to not marking close enough. He also commented on the amount of space their wide men had especially on the right.

He was under-performing most of last season too. Really can't understand how he survived the cull. But yes, last night he was definitely the weakest link. Let's hope that Winnard can give him some direction.

The other weak link, sadly, was Flemmo, who is back to his side/back passing and wanting to get rid of the ball asap rather than run with it.

I thought last night's midfielder triallist looked hopeful - - it also looked as if Ryan Croasdale was back as a sub, shame he didn't get a chance on the pitch as I thought he looked good the other Saturday. Presumably, Jim's still undecided about who to sign for midfield as there's definitely a gap to fill.

Wasn't the midfield 'trialist' Michael Rose who I assumed we'd signed as he was actually named on the team sheet.

The other trialist who didn't appear but ran up and down the touchline was (I think) Dean Smalley and not Croasdale but I could be wrong.....again. ;)

As for Fleming he was back to his usual back / sideways passing last night. There was an opportunity to have a strike on goal in the second 45 but he side passed to a colleague who promptly lost it. If ever a player should have been showed the door for me it was him. PNE scored 3 goals by having a pop but we simply don't even when there is space to do so. So bloody frustrating at times....

Dean Smalley's Wikipedia still states that he is on trial with Morecambe but how often are those correct.

Do we know for certain that Tom Kennedy is not on trial with us ? A blow IMHO as he looked very solid.
