Tom Kennedy

Tom Kennedy

Postby Christies Child » Thu Jul 28, 2016 10:10 am

The recent non show of Tom Kennedy would suggest that he's opted for a trial with another club which personally I'm upset about as I thought that his appearance v Burnley was outstanding and could have proved to be an astute signing for our club.

I suppose until the actual squad is announced we can live in hope that Tom will return but his recent non show would indicate that either Jim doesn't rate him, we can't afford him or he's decided that he can get a better deal elsewhere.

:( :( :(

He could be injured.

Maybe after signing Luke Conlan and having McGowan and Moly on the staff he feels left back is covered.

If so a shame as he looked a really solid no-nonsense defender.

If he was the left back with the tattoos I didn't think he was anything too special, looked abit unfit, too. A mate in Bradford sez he thinks hes been trialling with them.

No he wasn't anything too special but he did his job and didn't wander out of position like our other left backs seem to, therefore he looked quite competent with not allowing the Burnley winger too much freedom . ;) Whereas the No7 for Preston had acres of space to run into and pick his cross with ease. :(

Tom has left the club due to not being unhappy with the personal terms we offered him. Jamie McDonald has also left to go to Portsmouth on trial

Disappointed in that.

Jim must be pulling what's left of his hair out.

Sooner the club is sold the better.

Sympathy has to be afforded to our manager here, even if he does find potential talent and get them on trial, his hands are tied regarding getting them signed up, what a thankless task....

So, so very disappointed.

Tom was the most impressive of all our trialists in my humble opinion.

Now, I'm worried.

Let's get realistic guys. If this takeover doesn't come off for whatever reason. Then it's looking nailed on that we'll be relegated this season due to the financial struggle. Players could probably go into the conference north and get more than what were able to offer at the minute with the remaining budget we have !

Please note it was KS, that was first to use the word ''takeover'' , as opposed to ''purchase''.

I make no apologies for having minor board member as a friend ,who is also a lifelong shrimps fan, or for passing on any non confidential updates, if I am told anything.

You'd have thought the club would be providing us money spending fans with bits of ANY club information but the silence on ANY matters is absolutely deafening.

Will be interesting to see how Jamie McDonald does in his career.I for one would have moved a couple on to keep that lad.

Wasn't that the Idea of the "Communication Panel"?

As a founder member of the Panel, Outsider should be aware of the what was discussed and was perfectly at liberty to post the details other than those that the Board representatives wanted to keep confidential until the topic was concluded and made public.

Unfortunately Outsider has been unable to attend more recently but he's perfectly correct in has assessment that communication with all fans was high on its list of priorities.

There is a further meeting due next week when hopefully news on a number of issues will be made available especially that all important matter of the takeover.

Subject to confirmation it's Tuesday evening which unfortunately is the night of my local game with Kendal which also sees former Shrimp Charlie Bailey play for his new club Kendal.

Remember that song 'Silence is Golden'.....seems to me that it should be re titled ' Silence is Deafening....' :( :( :(
